these were delicious. I did everything exactly to recipe except that I added a splash of vanilla to the cream cheese mixture as well. I did include the salt (some people omitted it) and it tasted great!

Heavenly Angel Food Cake

Blue Cheese, Bacon and Chive Stuffed Pork Chops

This was delicious. I took other reviewers advice and browned the chops in the bacon grease before moving to the oven. About 25-30 mins in the oven was more than enough time after browning both sides. I also added cream cheese to the stuffing mixture, to keep everything together. My husband thought the blue cheese was a bit strong (would maybe try feta next time) but I thought it was perfect. We didn't have any chives (or green onions) so I just left them out. Perhaps that would have helped even out the sharpness of the cheese. Would def. make again!!

Quick and Easy Pizza Crust

Made this last night for dinner for the second or third time. This time I used just wheat flour. I must advise against this. I've made it with half wheat half unbleached before and it was great! But will all wheat it doesn't roll out as evenly and was too "wheaty" for myself and my husband...

Tres Leches (Milk Cake)

I'm giving this 4 stars because my husband liked it. I think maybe I just do not have a taste for Tres Leches because I thought it was disgusting. I tried it several times, hoping maybe it would get better as the cake absorbed the milks, but it just tasted like soggy cornbread to me. I have make cornbread and dip it in a glass of milk with a lot less effort. I will not make this again... .but maybe it's just me.

Buttery Soft Pretzels

These were really very good. This is the second time I've made them. Both time I followed other reviewers advice and used less flour and about 1TBS of extra water in order to get it to combine. These taste great with Kosher salt, but are really good with sugar and cinnamon.

Campbell's Kitchen Classic Beef Stroganoff

This was so simple and tasted great!! I did adjust to my taste: added garlic powder to meat while browning, 3tsp Worcestershire sauce and 1TBS Dijon mustard with the soup, and I used beef stock instead of water. Oh, and I just added what I had left of a Sour Cream container, maybe 2 TBS instead of the yogurt. Yum. My husband said "thank you!" after he ate this.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

These are seriously the best CC cookies ever. I love rich, chewy cookies, but even I reduced the amount of CC to 1 1/2 cups from 2 cups. No other changes are needed, these are wonderful! (P.S. They are double-y yummy as written, but almost as good with 1 cup whole wheat flour/1 cup unbleached flour & using splenda instead of regular granulated sugar... don't mess with the brown sugar, thou, it totally changes the cookie)

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

These were AMAZING! As good as any fancy bakery-bought brownies! I used 1/2 white and 1/2 brown sugar (3 cups total) and 1/2 white and 1/2 wheat flour. I used margarine instead of the butter, and it turned out great. Mixed in what was left of a bag of jumbo dark-dark chocolate chips. YUM!

Pat's Baked Beans

this recipes was awesome! I made it to go with ribs when we had friends over, and we all agreed, its pretty great for just beans. I cut this recipe in half, using one can each of great northern beans and kidney beans, both drained. (I didn't have any baked beans handy). Also, I didn't have an onion so I used onion powder instead. I can't wait to make this with the onion, but it still turned out great without it! Excellent recipe!

Drop Biscuits and Gravy

I made the biscuits from my beaty crocker cookbook (tried and true fluffy drop biscuits) but then made the gravy exactly as written (but with extra pepper) it was wonderful! Just like Saturday morning breakfast at your favorite diner.

Springtime Spinach Salad

This was a fantastic salad. I made it for a get-together, and was surprised that the salad did shine amidst all the wonderful menu items (included honey grilled salmon and steak!) Will definitely make again!

Springfield Style Cashew Chicken II

This recipes is great! My husband and I went to college in Springfield, so this tastes like home. I just use the sauce, as we like our chicken nuggets flurrier. I use the breading from Mr. Food's Honey Chicken. You can google that to find it. Very simple. For this sauce, we use chicken stock instead of chicken bouillons, but everything else the same. Don't forget the green onions, as it really makes the meal. Thanks for the great recipe!

Chicken Pot Pie I

I reduced this recipe for just me and my husband: 2 boneless skinless chicken breast, one can of low-fat cream of chicken soup, a little more than a half cup of milk, 3/4 bag of frozen vegetables and two frozen pie crusts. First I sauted sliced onion and fresh minced garlic with salt for a few minutes until soft. Added the frozen vegetables until warm and then stirred in soup and milk. Added a pinch of cayenne pepper for a kick, and lots of salt and pepper. Poured all into rolled out pie crust and pinched top crust on. Sprayed the top with butter-flavored cooking spray so it browns up. Baked almost an hour. Turned out great!! My picky husband ate it up and we didn't have any leftovers. Would definitely make again with my changes.

Harvest Pumpkin Soup

I made this for my in-laws for a day-after thanksgiving meal to go along with all the leftovers. I thought it was fabulous, and my in-laws (not to adventurous in nature) tried it and liked it. I didn't make any changes!
