The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2012
I followed the recipe exactly. I covered the dough and put it in the fridge overnight. When I tried to roll it out today it stuck to everything! I couldn't even get it off my hands, let alone the rolling pin or the counter. I think I must have used half a box of powdered sugar just trying to be able to roll it out. After giving up I decided to just spoon the dough onto the sheets. The cooked cookies were very dull. I was excited last night because the dough tasted so good. I would love to try again, it seems many people have been happy with this. I am open to tips, all I can think is I must have done something wrong.

Breaded Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2008
I thought this was very good. I didn't use the butter, but dipped the chicken in egg whites and sprayed the pan with PAM. I also used italian bread crumbs to save time. I added some mozzarella cheese at the end and served with noodles and spaghetti sauce. Big hit!

Crabmeat Roll-Ups

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2007
For the most part I think this is pretty good but I am not a fan of cocktail sauce. So I only put half the needed amount. I thought that made a difference. Absolutly worth making again. Enjoy

Antipasto Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2007
This is great! You can use any kind of pasta, it doesn't matter, and it will turn out great. I used a 3-pasta mix and it was wonderful. I made it the first time and followed the recipe exactly; here is what I have learned. When it says to refrigerate for 2-3 hours only do 1 hour. Put the rest of the goodies in and then do another hour in the refrigerator. This gives the broccoli, tomatoes, and pepperoni (or salami, I have used both they are just as good) time to soak in the olive oil and vinegar which makes it all the better in my opinion. Enjoy!

Bruschetta I

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2007
I thought this was good, not the best I have had, though. The onion is too overpowering; mine actually ended up spicy. Rubbing the garlic on the bread is a little time consuming and it also makes it very powerful. Save some time and put just a little into the tomato mixture. I agree with the others, add some cheese and, I used fresh basil like it called for but I think dried basil would have been fine. All in all, worked out all right for the party.

Bacon Cheese Treats

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2007
I had some major trouble with these. I agree with many other reviewers, way too much bacon. I only used two 4.4 oz containers of bacon bits and followed everything else exactly and it was all bacon. The exact words from the party were "I feel like I am eating bacon bits by the handful." If you try these, you should definitely half the bacon, double the cream cheese and, please, use real bacon. I think that is the true key. Hope this helps.
