being the GMO in corn syrup, I love that this is all pure sugar! I browned the butter before using., I also threw the nuts in the browned butter.. the flavor is so deep.. amazing! Thank you for sharing!

Creamy Rice Pudding

AWESOME! I have tried a million rice pudding recipes! this was so easy and came out perfect! I USED A BOX OF CHINESE BROWN RICE (already cooked) and skim milk and pure maple syrup! AGAIN! AMAZING! THANK YOU SOOO MUCH! LOW FAT, HIGH FIBER! WHAT A DESSERT!

Sweet Carrot Salad

I shredded an apple into the mix as well as a few raw almonds fat free greek yogurt split the mayo and some fresh ginger...as well as salt and pepper..Yummy.. a whole meal in itself!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

after I seared the meat.. I added carrots, onions, celery, garlic and a pepper to the hot pan and seared these too.. cooked on low for the day.. added fresh mushrooms 1 hour before serving over mashed potatoes.. yummy!

Easy As Chicken Pot Pie

A LOW FAT VERSION! I took left over chicken and added a ton of veggies.. then sauteed onions and garlic and added a little butter and oil and flour..then used condensed skim milk and spices added that to the milk and poured it over the veggie/chicken mixture.. I topped it with mashed potatoes instead of pastry dough..YUMMY!! THANKS SO MUCH! Great for this rainy cold day!

AMAZING! MOIST! I thought the spice was perfect! I LOVE flavor! I also used half the amount of oil and then added applesauce.. the ONLY thing is ..it COULD be a little less sweet.. !!Thank you Barbara!

Sweet Cornbread Cake

It IS moist! But a little too sweet.. I would make a great dessert! I will try to use some whole wheat flour and more corn meal and a little less sugar.. I like the idea of ground flax.. we'll see.

Mom's Pumpkin Pie

Some one threw out my joy of cooking cook book, where I had all my recipes written and changed over the years.. I was so bummed.. I came to this site (as always) and knew I would find a good recipe.. this was awesome. I used light cream instead of heavy (calories) and it was awesome! not too sweet! perfect! thank MOM!

Applesauce Oatmeal Cookies

OK. I substitued ground shredded wheat for half the flour and used wheat flour, I added almonds and dates as well as mashed banana.. I also cut the butter down and mixed the brown sugar with half splenda.. this made it much healthier,I have to give up a little of the yumminess, but I made them so at least I could eat them on this trip to loosing weight and keeping it off. 60 pounds and counting by making changes like this! NOt as tasty as my old life, but easier to live in my body..

Playgroup Granola Bars

I am on Weight Watchers core for over a year now.. lost over 60 pounds and I am always looking for healthy snacks... this one is great! for the WW plan, I made a few changes as did some of the other reviewers. I substituted all the flour with 1/2 blended fiber one and 1/2 whole wheat pancake mix (I had no whole wheat flour on hand) I added 1/2 cup of flax seeds and 1/2 cup of bran bites (they actually taste good even alone) I cut down the brown sugar by more than 1/2 but still used the honey. I substituted all natural peanut butter for the oil (this is the only real points in the recipe. I took the suggestion of others and only cooked it for about 20 minutes for a double recipe (which only filled one cookie sheet, I should have doubled it again) So for any WW core people out there.. this is loaded with fiber even more now.. so to me that cancels out the small amount of Peanut butter and the honey.. right?? lol Thanks again for this... Coconut Custard Pie II

I have been the master baker in my family.. I do all the pies on Easter (Italian Grain Pie) and Thanks Giving, pumpkin, coconut and pecan.. I have tried so many recipes.. bar non, this is the best! its gotten rave reviews from all my family and friends!! I dont change anything! Thank you Ellen
