Lemon Cream Cupcakes

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2009
These were so good! I followed the recipe exactly, and they were fluffy, moist and delicious. The lemon taste was not too strong--I could even have put more zest in. I had to double the frosting.

Pilgrim Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2009
This pie is wonderful. I like pumpkin puree from a can just fine, but if you want an extra treat (with a little extra effort), try baking your own pumpkins--this recipe works great for that. I used my own pie crust recipe and added a little nutmeg, but other than that I followed the recipe. I liked that it wasn't quite as sweet as the recipe on the pumpkin can... the honey taste was amazing!

Chicken Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2009
This is a good basic stir-fry recipe. It's a little too bland for me, so I add a couple tablespoons of brown sugar to the marinade, and then two tablespoons of soy sauce (mixed with corn starch, so the sauce doesn't end up too thin) and some extra garlic and ginger to the sauce at the end.

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2009
Excellent crust, not too hard to make. It would be easy to tweak this with some fresh herbs or garlic powder, but it's great as is.

Buttery Corn Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2008
I usually don't like cornbread because it's too crumbly, especially the second day, but this recipe came out perfect. I used 1/2 cup of honey and 1/2 cup of sugar and did everything else exactly as directed, and it turned out moist, sweet, and perfectly cooked after 25 minutes. Only a little bit was left over, and it's tasty even on day two!
