Scott's Buffalo Wing Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2009
This recipe is much better than plain hot sauce and butter. The sweetness from the ketchup and honey cuts a lot of the acidity from the hot sauce. The only change I made was to increase the amount of hot sauce and add some cayenne because I like spicy buffalo wings. Great basic recipe.

Autumn Harvest Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2008
These cookies were delicious. I added an extra tablespoon or so of brown sugar and used 1 teaspoon of OJ because I didn't have any orange extract. The flavor was good, but a little lacking, so I made an orange glaze (powdered sugar, orange juice, and cinnamon) which added exactly what was missing. They got rave reviews from all of my guests.

Super Grilled Salmon

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2008
This is some of the best salmon I've ever tasted. I didn't have a grill available, so I baked it, covered, in a 350 degree oven for 15-20 minutes. I've made it with various types of dry red wine (not just Shiraz) and it's wonderful every time. Thank you for this recipe!

Corn and Avocado Salsa

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2008
I omitted the red wine vinegar because I didn't want such an acidic salad, and it was delicious.

This came out beautifully. I added fresh basil and parsley, which really enhanced the dish.

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2008
These were absolutely delicious! Like other reviewers suggested, I used an entire 15 oz. can of pumpkin rather than only 1 cup. I also substituted 1/2 cup of brown sugar for 1/2 cup of the white sugar. I added pumpkin pie spice to the glaze to finish them off. They were the perfect texture...very moist.

Honey Curried Roasted Chicken and Vegetables

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2008
This recipe was delicious. To cut down on cooking time, I used boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into large pieces. I also used both white potatoes and sweet potatoes. The sweet potatoes worked really nicely with the sauce. I got a lot of compliments. Thanks!

Crispy and Creamy Doughnuts

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2008
I've made donuts a few times before trying this recipe and none of them compared. Instead of the usual donut shape I left them whole and filled them with blackberry jam. I made them for a party and people said they tasted like store-bought donuts. Very good recipe.

Creamiest Chocolate Mousse

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2007
I can't really rate the recipe because I haven't made it yet, but I was reading some of the comments and I have some advice. Add a tablespoon or so of corn syrup to the melted chocolate to solve the clumping issue. The molecular structure of the glucose in the corn syrup helps to prevent crystallization. It is very often added to frostings, puddings and jelly for this reason.
