Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies III

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2009
These are awesome cookies. Soft, delicious, perfect! I doubled the recipe. Substituted half of the oil with applesauce, and also added drops of red food coloring as per some of the reviewers suggested.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2008
The cookies were a hit at the Labor Day Picnic. It also tasted better once cooled and settled. I've used 2 cups of chocolate chips instead of 4.

Wow! I was very impressed. A Pan De Sal recipe that actually tasted like Pan De Sal! The whole family loved it... especially my Mom. Thank you for the recipe.

Grandmother's Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2008
This was a fantastic bread pudding recipe. I liked how it wasn't too sweet nor too custardy and the sauce was amazing! I used a whole, 4-day old, loaf of French bread (I forgot to serve during the 4th of July party), so I doubled the recipe, baked it on a 13x9x2 baking glass pan, and used 1 1/3 cup sugar. I also liked the fact that the recipe doesn't call for any butter. I will definitely make this recipe again and again. Thank you for the recipe!

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2007
These are the best pork chops! Doubling the sauce is a must, but instead of more wine, used chicken broth. The sauce was also great on top of rice and the vegetables we served with these. Yummy!!

Blue Ribbon Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2007
I was disappointed with these cookies. They were very dry and sandy. I couldn't take them to my daughter's Christmas party at school. Sorry.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2007
Excellent! Delicious!! Definitely a must to double the sauce (but instead of using more wine...use 1/2 cup wine and 1/2 cup chicken broth). My husband, mother-in-law, mother and even the kids (4 and 7 years old) just loved it! Nothing but great compliments all around during dinner. Had mash potatoes and steamed vegetables with it. The gravy was perfect on top of everything! Thank you for this wonderful recipe!

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2007
This is our favorite baked ziti recipe. Depending on what we have on hand, I've used ground beef, ground turkey or Italian sausage and it always turns out delicious!! The greatest joy was when my Italian Mother-in-Law was very impressed with this dish! I follow the recipe as is except I brown the ground beef or ground turkey with onions, minced garlic, Italian seasoning and some cayenne pepper for a wonderful flavor. I will try using part riccota and sour cream next time as some of the reviewers suggested. Thank you for this wonderful recipe.

Beth's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2007
I've been making these for the last 3 years now, and it is an all time favorite of my family and friends! I do cut the sugar down to 3/4 cup. I read some of the reviews mentioned having crumbly dough...but mine doesn't turn out that way. I mix everything, but the chocolate chips and nuts, in the electric mixer. When dough is thoroughly mixed, I add the chips and nuts using a big spatula. Once all mixed, I press the though together in the bowl to look like big playdough. For a perfect, looking cookies, I use a melon baller (looks like a small ice-cream scooper) to scoop them out and place them on the cookie sheet (I use stoneware). Just like little ice-cream scoops, I bake them just like that. They turn out so perfectly! One of my co-workers mentioned they look like Famous Amos cookies...but better! I've tried other CC cookie recipes, but this one is the one I get many great compliments with. Hopefully this will help some of the reviewers. "Happy baking!"

Taiwanese Fried Tofu

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2007
I really love this recipe. Especially great on top of white rice. I originally sent in a 5 star review on this recipe, using Balsamic Vinegar since I couldn't find Chinese Black Vinegar. Now, thanks to my bestfriend, who sent me a bottle of Chinese Black Vinegar over the holidays, I find that the Chinese Black Vinegar made a great diffence in appearance and in taste. I would make this recipe again and again using the Chinese Black Vinegar.

Local Kine Wontons

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2007
Made these for a party, and it was such a great hit! Even the kids loved them. I used 16 oz of imitation crab meat since that's how much it came in the package, and it was perfect. Refrigerated some left-overs since I made a lot. They were still delicious and cruchy the next day. I loved them cold too. Next time I will try to use real crab meat and bake them like some of the reviews suggested. Thanks for the delicious recipe!
