Super Lemon Ice Cream

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2012
OMG!!! If heaven tastes like lemon ice cream, then I just ate it! This turned out so smooth and creamy and lemony lovey! I used organic lemon juice rather then the real stuff, simply because I had some. I also strained the mixture through a sieve before putting it in my refrigerator over night. My husband agrees that this is the best home made ice cream he has ever had, and said a person could make money selling that stuff! Yummy- 10,000 stars to you AOSWALT

Do no try icing this cake or you will go into a sugar coma! LOL. This is so sweet and rich and smooth. Yummy! The flavor was just like those giant chocolate chip muffins only more moist. Keeper!

Out of this World Turkey Brine

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2011
Moist! I have never had a turkey be this tender and moist before! There is no need to season the turkey, the brine imparts so much flavor! I used Alton Browns cooking technique, as mentioned by another reviewer. Start it at 500 degrees for the first 30 mins. then lower it to 350 and cover the breast with foil, till its done cooking. Thank you Sudemers for posting this recipe.

Baked Beans from Scratch

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2009
I didnt use the onion and was out of worcestershire sauce. These were really good! My beans seemed a little dry, wonder why? I ll give 5 stars since I dont think the dryness was from the recipe but some thing this chef must have done wrong. Yummy flavor.

Homemade Refrigerator Pickles

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2009
I only had one cucumber on hand but wanted some pickles, so I used this recipe. I only added one cup of sugar. No onions or peppers. But I did add a few shakes of dill and celery seeds, and a couple black pepper corns...yummo!

Cake Batter Ice Cream

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2009
Heavenly!!! I have made many other flavors of homemade ice cream but this is the best ever! It tastes just like the kind you get at the specialty ice creameries only better because it has that homemade taste going on. LOVE IT!!! I used all half and half for this recipe since I wanted to get rid of what I had left, I am sure that only added to its decadence. Thank you for this recipe!!!

Easy Pancakes

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2009
Mine turned out good for a quick recipe. I should have cut the baking powder and salt in half. I used chia instead of eggs (1tbs chia seeds + 3 tbs water soaked for 10 minutes = 1 egg) and used vanilla rice milk rather then cow milk. I also used coconut oil and pink Himalayan salt, and a mix of white and wheat flour. I thought I followed the recipe exactly until I started typing this...LOL!

Jamie's Minestrone

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2009
I didnt have everything on hand, no spinach, no celery and no fresh herbs. This was still so yummy. But I am a soup lover! I made this a one pot dish by doing everything in...one pot. I sauted the veggies in the big pot that I used to make the soup, and at the end I just put the pasta right in with everyting else and let it cook there. I used all homemade veggie broth up front instead of the water called for. But aas it kept cooking I did need to add quit a bit of water, in order for this to have any broth. with as much veggies as it has in it. Great recipe!

Linguine Pasta with Shrimp and Tomatoes

Reviewed: May 25, 2009
I would give this more stars if I could!!! Absolutely love this recipe. I used a 28 oz can of diced tomatoes, which I pulsed in my food processor a bit. Used about 4 cloves of garlic and omitted the wine (since I didn't have any.)Perfect!!! I am sure if you follow the directions exactly that it will still be perfect. I am not sure if this is an Italian or Cajun recipe but it reminds me so much of meals I had while living on the Northern coast of Italy. Thank you for sharing.

This was a really decent pie crust and very easy to make. I used earth balance "buttery sticks" instead of shortening or butter. I added 1 tbs suger and made a double pie crust for apple pie. I will use this again.
