Hungarian Goulash I

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2013
I added colored bell peppers as that's how I know it from my childhood. Served over Spaetzle..hmmhmm good! Taste is great, but I wish I would have made more sauce as that's what was gone first leaving a lot of pieces of meat. Keeper but gotta tripple the sauce.

Lemon Chicken II

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2013
I used more lemon juice and next time I should double the sauce and use a bit more sugar, but I'd definitely do this again.

German Spaetzle Dumplings

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2012
Can't believe how easy and cheap it is to make spaetzle. I added more salt and also had fried an onion which I added to the fried spaetzle. Made two batches. One I added freshly grated cheese at the very end and parsley on top, the other I had fried up some bacon bits and added them with parsley on top. Sauguat!

Aussie Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2012
I cut of the fried bacon and sprinkled it on top of the chicken. The kids loved the bacon with the cheesy mushrooms more than the juicy chicken.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2012
Made this tonight for dinner. I used my own Superflour (mixture of Whole Wheat flour, soy flower, brewers yeast and wheat germ), added a can of corn and used 2 can's of Costco's white chicken chunk meat instead of the fresh chicken breast. I just blanched the carrots and added thawed peas and raw celery and the canned corn so not all is mush. The pie was about to overflow once I filled it, but that just meant more goodness. I could not believe that my two kids at 3/4 of the entire pie. This is a keeper for sure!

Barley Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2012
We loved this one. I made the following changes though: 1. I added 6 oz crimini mushrooms, sliced; 1/2 can of corn 2. I used vegetable broth 3. I fried the veggies, removed them from the pan as I didn't want them all mushy 4. I fried the barley with 4 cups of veggie broth, and when almost done, I turned off the pan, removed the remaining broth, added the veggies and mixed it all 5. I added all to a corning ware dish, added chese on top and put in in the pre-heated oven at 425F for 10 min 6. I sprinkled fresh cilantro on top after I removed it from the oven. Yummy!

Angela's Awesome Enchiladas

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2012
Oh my god, a recipe my kids just gobbled up and licked the plate. This deserves 5 stars. I didn't have Enchilada sauce, but had a bit of Ragu pasta sauce so I used that and it was just fine. A keeper for sure as the kids already asked when I make it again.

I like the taste, yet it is fatty when frying it. I have to try to bake it next time to cut down on the fat.

Butternut Squash Soup II

nice texture, a bit sweet so will re-try adding cut/buttered toast on the top (cut toast into small cubes and fried in a bit of butter for home made croutons)...and maybe a bit of fried onions mixed in as small pieces
