Holiday Honey Ham Glaze

This is by far THE easiest glaze I have ever made. There's no cooking on the stove, no measuring of a ton of spices. It's super quick and easy and yet it still tastes great. I don't often try recipes that haven't gone through the allrecipes gauntlet and gotten reviews with things that need to be altered, but I wanted something different for my ham. I was tired of the same old, same old pineapple or maple recipes. So I gave this one a try and was glad I did. This one will be a keeper for me, and I'll be passng it along to my daughters who need uncomplicated and quick recipes.

Roasted Pork Loin

This recipe was the best recipe I've found yet for a roast pork tenderloin. Pork is usually so bland, but this really brought out the flavors. My husband loved it, too! The only thing I changed was sauteeing the veggies in Canola oil with Omega 3 instead in butter for a healthier recipe. I didn't have a green pepper, so I just omitted it and it was fine. This recipe is definitely a keeper. I'll even try this one with thicker pork chops to oven bake.

Ron's Bread Machine White

This bread was great. I did what another reviewer did and changed the sugar amount to 1/3 cup and that made the bread taste a little along the line of hawaiian sweet bread, which we love. But, I believe it would work quite well with just the 1T of sugar. It all depends on if you want your white bread a little sweet or not.

Slow Cooker Cider Pork Roast

This is, in my opinion, the best way to cook a pork loin. My only changes were...I don't brown the meat first; I've found no need to. The meat will cook nicely without it. I don't bother with the food processor, either. Don't make anything more time consuming than it has to be; just throw sliced onion and apple in the pot with the roast. I omit flour and add sage to rub on the pork. I put the carrots in the pot with the roast and cook it an hour less than the recipe says. Lastly, apple juice will work in a pinch, since apple cider isn't always available, but you won't get the same flavor. Cider is stronger and will add more flavoring and shouldn't be watered down with so much water. There's no need for almost five cups of liquid in a slow cooker. Other than a few minor and easy changes, this recipe is the best way to cook a pork loin. It's fast, easy and oh, so tasty!

Seasoned Fan Potatoes

Great potato recipe when you're looking for something besides the "same ole, same ole" things. To make it easier, quicker and to get the spices deep into the potato better, I mixed the seasonings into the melted butter instead of sprinkling the spices on the potato first then drizzling with the melted butter.

Restaurant-Style Prime Rib Roast

Very good! Tastes great like a high-priced restaurant meal. I cooked a 4-lb standing rib roast using a few modifications based on reviews and the roast came out great. I cooked it at 425 for 30 mins, then 350 for 20 mins per pound. I also put a little water in the pan before placing in the oven.

Leftover Casserole

Made this without my usual habit of first reading the reviews. Wrong move! I thought it highly odd that the noodles weren't cooked, but the recipe had such a high rating, that I thought it must work. I was still uneasy, so I added WAY more liquid to the recipe, though. Instead of just one cup of milk, I added 3-1/2 cups of milk. All milk was soaked up by the noodles & the noodles were cooked, but still not as tender as I like them. I also had to add an extra 15 minutes to the cook time. When it was finished, it was edible which is why it got two stars instead of one, but nothing I'd cook again. It was extremely dry (even with all the extra liquid added).

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

I didn't like this at all and neither did my husband. I thought the biscuits tasted exactly like Pillsbury biscuits and wished I had made real dumplings instead. The dumplings would have been tastier and lighter. I'd read other reviews before making and followed some advice by adding spices. I can't imagine this without additional spices being added. It would be extremely bland. I used chicken broth instead of water, which helped, but the fake dumplings ruined it for us. Nobody liked it and we won't be having it again.
