Chocolate Chip Apple Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2007
This is a lovely, fragrant, moist cake full of delicious flavour. I used big chunks of chocolate as opposed to chips and added an extra half apple. I also added a sprinkling of ginger which worked well. I will definitley make this one again.

Peach Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2007
This pie needs something else...but I'm unsure as to what. The sugar/flour/butter crumble mix is strange - the pie would be better without it. I will try this again with a few tweaks.

Banana Chocolate Chip Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2007
This was an excellent cake - moist, tasty and great texture. I added some vanilla extract and doubled the quantity of the mixture and this made a much larger, more substantial cake. I also added 10 minutes on the cooking time. I will definitley mkae this again - it was a winner with my husband, too!

Apple Dumpling Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2007
This was one of the nicest, moist and tasty cakes I've ever made. I did substitute the oil for butter and apple sauce but otherwise followed the recipe fully. The cake was so flavoursome and looked great. It's very easy to make and only takes 40 minutes to cook! Definitley worthy of 5 starts!!

Chicken with Garlic, Basil, and Parsley

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2007
I liked this recipe - healthy, delicious yet simple. I used large chicken thighs as opposed to breasts because they are more succulent. I also slipped a little cheese under the skin to give it some extra bite. Very nice!

Simple Sponge Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2007
This recipe needs more than 3 ingredients in order to 'mask' the egginess. Vanilla helps, as does a caramelised apple base (like an upside down cake). On its own it's too plain and eggy.
