Sausage Pasta

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2014
We used cooked organic chicken sausage, chicken stock, did not have a onion so used onion powder, fresh basil and fresh spinach. Topped with Parmesan/Romano cheese. My kids and I loved it and they requested seconds. DH said is was somewhat bland. I will make this again with variations.

Simple Turkey Chili

Reviewed: May 22, 2012
Great recipe. I browned onion and garlic in garlic olive oil. Omitted the cayenne pepper, did not rinse the beans, added brown sugar to taste, a can of black beans. Also, did not have crushed tomatoes, so I added can of Rotel Tomatoes and Fire roasted tomatoes. Served with mexican cheese blend and sour cream. Can't wait to make this again!

Pork Chops with Raspberry Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2012
Wow! Great combo of flavors!! I double/tripled the sauce, replaced the wine with balsamic vinegar and the oj with manderin orange juice with pulp. Added butter at the end. For safety, we like our thick cut pork cooked to well done, but without the dryness, so I poured the sauce over the browned meat and baked for 15-20 addtl. minutes /until done. It was VERY tender and FULL of flavor. Served it with mashed potatos and sauteed green beans. No leftovers with this recipe.

Best Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2012
This is a week night dinner keeper. Everyone asked for seconds. It was very tender. Made the following changes: Used 3 tsp crushed garlic instead of garlic salt, celery flakes in place of celery salt, low fat sour cream and Stove Top cornbread stuffing mix. Nice flavor blends :-)

Cakes In A Cone

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2011
I needed a very last minute dessert to send to our kids school. This looked quick and easy. I did not use the semi-sweet chocolate, I used what I had on hand- white frosting with chocolate butter box cake and sprinkles. My 3/4th full of batter into the cones, was "too much" and sadly they overflowed while baking, in the muffin tins. I removed the excess cake that overflowed + thought that the cho-cake stains on the cones would look awful, but after putting the frosting and sprinkles on they looked fun + yummy anyways! I named them "chocolate explosion cup cone cakes". LOL! Wow..they taste good too! Good bye baking cups.. hello Cakes In A Cone!
