Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2011
Although I reduced the sugar in this by one third and used organic corn meal, it was still so delicious I ended up having to make another cake! Even my brother, who is extremely allergic to corn, took an antihistamine tablet just so he could have a piece, and he was not disappointed! Great recipe :)

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2010
Awesome, simple recipe!! The only things I changed the second time I made it were that I removed the oil from the recipe, used veganaise, and reduced the sugar. I made it the first time to go over pulled pork sandwiches and it was delicious!

Melt - In - Your - Mouth Shortbread

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2010
I just pulled these out of the oven. I followed the recipe exactly, with the exception of using pastry flour. I must admit, these were absolutely delicious! I will be making these many times in the future :)

Blooming Onion and Dipping Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2010
I absolutely LOVE onions rings, and this recipe was perfect to my palette! Just like another reviewer noted, I used Krustez pancake mix, not just because of it only needing water but because it does not use corn syrup, and added spices to the batter to my own taste (McCormick Steak Seasoning grinder, chili powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper). Next time I will be using this to make a blooming onion!

Creamy Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2009
I just tried this today on a cold pasta salad, and let it chill in the fridge for a couple hours in a tupperware. I shook it again inside the container before serving as the dressing had separated, but it still tasted excellent! I used finely chopped red onion, halved grape tomatoes, chopped celery, feta crumbles, and diced ham- I chose apple cider vinegar though rather than the rice variety, along with the mayo, salt and pepper, olive oil, and some basil.
