Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: May 6, 2007
I use this recipe as a base, using just a pinch of salt though. I like to add a little cinnamon (just enough to taste, but not overpower) and a little brown sugar. Kind of taste like warm apple pie.. without the apples. Mmmm. Delicious.

Homemade Crispy Seasoned French Fries

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2007
Good if your pressed for time I suppose, but they are realy tough and I didnt even over cook them, some of them were under cooked to find out if I WAS over cooking and that was the result of the toughness.. They lacked on taste aswell. I even tried adding parmesan and cheddar cheese to spice up the next batch. I was disapointed with these and I am a big fry eater.

Cranberries should realy be left for turkey or pork chops, imo.

Dark Chocolate Cake II

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2007
When I first tried a piece it tasted like a corn bread sord of. After a few hours of cooling, it was very good. I did use instant coffee though, and less than half a cup. I also used a whip cream/pudding frosting that I found on this site. Not bad. I think next time Ill make a chocolate frosting and add jar cherries to the cake batter.

Cheesy Ramen Noodles

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2007
I did not like this. If I want cheese in my ramen I will just buy a package of ramen that already contains cheese.

Pineapple Chicken Tenders

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2007
Excellent. Even my mother who is not the biggest chicken eater loves this. I did change it a bit though. For one, I did not add soy souce. After heating the pineapple juice and brown sugar I poured it ontop of the chicken in my 9x13 dish and refrigerated for 90 mins. I then threw the entire dish in the over and baked 30 mins. Baking it with the juices kept it very tender. We did find that the pieces of chicken that we were too full to eat at dinner we ate about an hour later, were even better. The flavor realy absored quite nicely. Delicious. I made them last night and again tonight, with pork chops instead. They were great aswell.

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2007
This is fantastic. Though I did turn it into a pie, instead of a crisp. I cannot have the oats so I eliminated them and the water aswell. I used 4 good size granny smith apples. I mixed the first ingredients in a bowl with average sized apple slices and then poured them into a store bought pie crust. I then mixed the other ingredients in the bowl and it came out very thick, so I just placed it all over the apples and put the pie shell on and baked for 10 mins on 450 and another 40 mins on 350. Topped it with some regular cool whip. Awesome results. Im getting fatter by the minute. :( lol

Sweet Green Bean Bundles

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2007
I LOVE this, though I did change it some. I did not use the salt or bacon (only because i cannnot have bacon) I peeled and sliced up four potatoes cooked them and then placed them in a round 12" dish. I then melted 1/2 cup of butter and poured it all around/on top of the potatoes and topped it with some shredded cheddar cheese. I added canned green giant geen beans on top. I then melted 1/3 butter and added 1 cup of brown sugar to my measuring cup, mixed it well and then drizzled most of it all over the top of the beans with a fork. I wasnt sure if I had to much brown sugar for us, so I didnt use it all. Baked for 20 mins. AWESOME. We loved them. And I am refrigerating the rest of my brown sugar/butter sauce for tomorrow. We WILL be having this again tomorrow night, and many more nights in the future.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2007
I was skeptical about the crackers.. I thought, why? Why shouldnt I just use italian seasoned bread crumbs instead.. I am SO glad I used the crackers, the loaf came out fantastic!! The only thing I changed was I did not add milk. It makes me ill. But everything else I did as directed and we had a beautiful meal. Thank you.

Bacon Wrapped Hamburgers

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2007
Loved this. I didnt use bacon because I cannot eat it, but they were terrific even without, though Im sure the bacon flavor would be dynamite! Also, I cooked them in the frying pan.. and unless you want them on the raw side, be sure not to make the burgers too big otheriwse it takes forever to cook and the obvious happens. Burn outside, rawish inside. I cannot wait until summer comes, I want to try these out on the grill!!

Marshmallow Brownies

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2007
These brownies, if prepared exactly as says, come out far too sweet when tried shortly after coming out of the oven. A couple of hours later, we enjoyed them even less. It was disappointing, that is until the next day when I woke up hungry and tried a small piece and, OH MY WORD. SO YUM!!! If you let these "brownies" (more like a cookie/candie bar) sit over night in the pan (with lid to keep them fresh) they turn out to be awesome! Thanks a lot, like Im not heavy enough as is. XD

Classic Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2007
This was awesome. I did use less sugar however (about 1/4 cup) and added some boiled potatoes to give it a little more flavor as Im not a huge macaroni fan. I also did not use pimento. Other than that, I did everything as the recipe said. Terrific. Thanks.
