Easy Weeknight Bacon Mac 'n Cheese

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2012
Another HUGE hit from Progresso! We thought this was a tasty and delicious mac and cheese. I did omit the red peppers and put the bacon on top with the breadcrumbs. It was quick and easy, which makes it a definite keeper in my house!

Easy Weeknight Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2012
This was a HUGE hit in my house! I loved the simplicity of the recipe, and yet the flavor was delicious. I did prepare it by cooking the chicken fully in the pan and then placing the chicken, with the sauce poured over the top, in the oven for about 10 minutes. I believe this is what allowed the sauce to thicken up. I served it along side pasta and breadsticks. A definite keeper in my house!

Italian Chicken Sausage Stuffed Portabellas

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2012
This was a pretty tasty recipe...more on the 3.5 stars than 3. I did change this a small bit by making them with small stuffing mushrooms, but kept everything else the same. It was a basic mushroom recipe and there was nothing that stood out as putting these mushrooms over the top.

Chocolate Frosting I

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2012
My absolutely favorite chocolate frosting! It comes out perfect everytime and the taste is creamy and delicious. I do use butter instead of margarine, but otherwise everything else the same. The better the cocoa powder the better the frosting!

The Irish Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2012
This has become one of our favorites in the house. It is simple and basic in flavors, but absolutely delicious. The only thing different I do is to cut the butter in half and it still turns out creamy. And the paprika is definitely a must, just like Baking Nana said. Thank you Lilly for this 10 star recipe!

Kristen's Bacon Ranch Potato Salad

Reviewed: May 31, 2012
We absolutely loved this potato salad! It is quite similar to my go to recipe, but the addition of the ranch just makes it even better. I did add some chopped scallions and kept the skin on the potatoes, but otherwise made it as is. This is a definite keeper for our summer picnics!

Best Black Beans

Reviewed: May 31, 2012
These were pretty good black beans. I think next time I would drain some of the liquid, as we found them too watery, and saute the garlic and onion prior to adding the beans to enhance the flavor. Otherwise this is a pretty fast and easy addition to a mexican meal!

Spinach and Mushroom Quesadillas

Reviewed: May 31, 2012
Great addition to a quesadilla...we loved the spinach and mushrooms. I did end up using button mushrooms that needed to be used, but I don't think that made much of a difference. We enjoyed this with homemade pico de gallo and sour cream. Thanks for the keeper!

Grilled Wonton Chicken Salad

Reviewed: May 31, 2012
Delicious and refreshing summer salad! I used homemade teriyaki marinade, which I think put it over the top. I kept everything else the same except decreased the salad dressing since it made a ton. This is a definite keeper for summer grilling!

Linguini with Roasted Vegetables and Tomato Basil Chicken Meatballs

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2012
Unfortunately, we were not a fan of the meatballs in this. It was another one where I took out the meatballs to save the meal. The linguini with roasted veggies was great, but we did not enjoy the meatballs with it. Sorry.

Roasted Garlic Chicken Sausage Caesar Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2012
Unfortunately, we were in the minority here. We did not enjoy this at all. I ended up picking out all the sausage. I just couldn't get past the texture of the sausage in the salad. Sorry.

Pizza Alfredo with Roasted Vegetables

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2012
We were split on this as a family. The guys thought it was okay. They weren't a big fan of the alfredo sauce with the veggies, but they liked the meatballs. I on the other hand did not like the meatballs at all and really enjoyed the alfredo sauce and veggies. I would make this again for myself minus the meatballs.

Rosemary Chicken with Orange-Maple Glaze

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2012
What a wondeful 5 star recipe! It was quick and easy and the taste was like you spent hours making the delcious sauce/glaze. I was amazed at how well the orange, rosemary and maple went together, it was the perfect marry of flavors. I'm so glad I finally gave this recipe a try. A definite keeper and repeat in this house!

Real Strawberry Frosting

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2012
Finally a frosting with real strawberries! Thank you Candice for such a delicious and easy frosting (even with the step of making the strawberry puree). I did have to add a bit more sugar to make it thick enough to frost cupcakes. But, it was the perfect topping to chocolate cupcakes!

Garlic Lover's Pizza Crust for the Bread Machine

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2012
You know what your cooking is good when your husband comments that the dough smells good before I've even baked the pizza! Delicious and such an easy dough to work with. I made one thick crust pizza and one thin crust and I can't decide which I like better, because they both came out so good. This will be a definite keeper. Thanks for sharing Kathy!

Sombrero Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2012
When I made this for dinner last night, I expected this to be good, but nothing over the top. Boy, was I wrong! This little recipe was absolutely delicious. I did a few things different to prepare this recipe, but did not change any ingredients, and it could not have altered the outcome at all. I chose to grill my chicken, because I just couldn't believe the chicken would cook along with the bacon and veggies. I diced my bacon, cooked it and then took it out of the pan adding it when dinner was ready to be served. Those were the only differences (besides cutting back on the cilantro quite a bit, which is a personal preference). I served it in tortillas with a smear of sour cream and topped with the monterey jack and tomatoes. What a simple and absolutely delicious meal. These turned out to be the perfect fajitas. Thank you Rhonda for sharing your recipe...it will be a definite keeper in our house.

Fiber One® Chocolate-Peanut Butter Haystacks

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2012
Who would ever think something good for you (the Fiber One that is!) would taste so darn good! I had my friends taste them and rate them without telling them what was in it and they all gave them 5 stars, and were totally shocked to know the ingredients. I used regular peanut butter because that is all I had on hand, but kept everything else the same. They were absolutely delicious little treats that definitely filled my chocolate craving. Me and the little guy had a blast making them. These are a definite keeper in our house!

Yuppie Kolcannon

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2012
What a delicious potato recipe that even got my guys to eat cabbage! The potatoes were creamy and I loved the slight tang from the vinegar. It is a great way to use up left over "coleslaw" in a bag. It paired well with our meatloaf dinner and will definitely be a repeat in our house. Thanks for sharing!

Dressed-Up Broccoli

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2012
Simple, delicious and easy...you can't get much better in a recipe. I absolutely love the crunch that the topping gives to the broccoli. It had just the right amount of garlic and buttery crumbs. I did steam the broccoli in the microwave, but next time I may try just roasting the broccoli. This is definitely going to be a staple in our house...even the little guy loved it. Thanks for sharing!
