Easy Butternut Squash Ravioli

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2013
I thought I'd really love this but the taste, for me was just the opposite. I found it very easy to make. I did put the squash mix in the refrigerator a bit to set up before filling the wrappers and that worked out like a charm. They weren't mushy at all like some reviewers, they looked really nice, fried up nice with the garlic. I couldn't get past the floury taste of the wonton and the mascarpone cheese with the butternut squash gave an aftertaste I didn’t care for. I was surprised as I thought I would LOVE it.

Korean BBQ Short Ribs (Gal-Bi)

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2013
I tried this recipe twice and still do not care for it and do not think it is authentic. I lived in Korea for two years and this recipe doesn't taste like the dish I ate when I lived there. I tried it in the crockpot, as one reviewer suggested, that was terrible and not very flavorful as the crockput ends up having too much water and the meat was tasteless. The second time, I broiled it thinking it would be better and didn't care for the taste of the meat that way either. I marinated it a long time and was very disappointed. I will not make this again.

Eggplant Croquettes

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2013
This was great as is. I did mix it all together and put in a casserole and added some cheese on top. A nice side with lamb.

Brown Sugar Smokies

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2013
Excellent. The men licked the plate clean, the women not so much. I took the advice of another reviewer and marinated them all day, used the ingredients as written. A real man pleaser. I lined a sheet with foil hoping for an easy cleanup but the sugar stuck to it and I had a time of it getting the baked on sugar off the pan--suggested using a throwaway foil pan for this to make clean up a breeze.

Easy Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2013
I don’t care for the salsa as one of the main ingredients or the sour cream cooked in the casserole and the tortilla chips whether on the bottom or the top were soggy. I like the other ones I have better than this one. I won't use it again.

Master Pizza Dough

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2013
I thought this was very good. I sometimes will throw in 1/2 cup wheat flour to make a more Artisan dough and like it for a change. I didn't need to add any more flour and it worked out well. It is a keeper for me.

Pineapple Fried Rice

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2013
It was ok, I found it bland and will use the one I currently have as it is better. I like to try others for comparison, that is how I found the "better" one.

Harvest Pasta Bake

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2013
This was awful. I love all the ingredients but it didn't work out together for me! The addition of the Cooking Creme is what didn't work. I followed the directions to a T.

Ice Box Fruitcake

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2013
We didn’t like it and found the consistency way too mushy and mealy. The longer it sat to blend the flavors, the mushier and mealier it became. It didn’t slice nicely to present to guests. Not a keeper for me.

Mom's Applesauce Pancakes

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2013
This was ok for me. I made it exactly according to the recipe. I had no trouble with the pancakes getting brown, the color was fine, I just didn't think the taste was anything to rave about. I have other recipes that are better so this isn't a keeper for me.

Sugarless Fruitcake

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2013
It was too mushy for my families taste buds. I can't imagine using a 20 oz can of pineapple in this as one reviewer did, I used a 15 oz and it was way to much liquid! I didn’t like the "mushy" consistency and you really couldn’t cut it in nice slices. I had to spoon it. It was not a nice presentation. I guess if you are diabetic, it would give you a taste of fruitcake if you like fruitcake but if you are not diabetic, it is terrible, both in taste and presentation. Not a keeper for me.

Linda's Cranberry Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2012
This is a good cookie recipe. I added 8 ounces of both dried cranberries and white chocolate chips. I think next time I'll throw in 1 cup of nuts.

Excellent! I used Hawaiian Bread and followed the directions just as written. I assembled it the night before and baked it off in the morning. Delicious.

Kellogg's® Rice Krispies® Wreaths

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2012
Great, just got through finishing them. I made mine smaller and got 33, which was a lot better than 12. I followed the recipe, except for using the 1/4 cup measurement as I wanted smaller wreaths. I am going to try freezing some of them to see how that turns out. I didn't have a problem but buttered my hands frequently and work fast. Toward the end, it got a little gooey.

Wheatberry Waldorf Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2012
I was ready to toss this receipe as a "salad" but instead used it as a breakfast meal andit was fantastic. I made it the night before, spooned out what I wanted for breakfast in a bowl, topped it with 1 Tablespoon of brown sugar and 1 teaspoon of butter, heated it until warm and it was great. It makes a TON so I would suggest halving the recipe.

Stir Fry Turkey (Dad's Version)

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2012
This was wonderful to my surprise and such a nice change to the traditional high calorie leftover recipes. I served it over rice. The only change I made was to add cashews after plating to add some crunch. THIS IS A KEEPER.

Pineapple Pie III

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2012
The filling for this definitely needs to be doubled. The ratio for the filling as it is is no where near enough for a 9" pie. I would also reduce the temperature as another reader suggested. I baked this at 425 and it burned. I would go to 375 as one other reviewer suggested.
