Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2009
These tasted EXACTLY like Grandma's (the brand) Molasses cookies. Sooooooo yummy!

Greek Lentil Soup (Fakes)

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2008
I never knew my husband liked lentils until I decided to try this soup. He complained about the vinegar, but that didn't stop him from inhaling the bowl in 30 seconds flat!

Mustard Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2008
This was a four star dressing (just a bit too sweet) until I tried it on pasta salad. Cooked pasta, mustard vinaigrette, and whatever is lying in the fridge = my invitation to any barbecue all summer. No mayo spoilage!!

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2007
They were burnt on the bottom before they were cooked through, and tasteless to boot. I did a trial run of one dozen, and 11 of them are going straight to the trash.

Cream Corn Like No Other

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2007
Great taste, but far too much liquid. This was like soup - not great for serving as a side dish unless you have a bowl. I'll make it again, but cut the milk/cream in half (favoring the cream).

Baked Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2007
I was not all that impressed by these potatoes. They are too bland to be eaten plain, and once you put gravy on you can't tell them from regular mashed potatoes - they are just more work.

Hot Crab Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2007
Good basic dip, I definitely added my own touches. The only trouble is that once it starts to cool it is no good, so if you want to have it for more than half an hour, make it in several small dishes (it keeps just fine in the fridge before it is baked)

Frosty Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2007
Made this for thanksgiving - people were begging for the recipe but I didn't want to admit that it only took 10 minutes to make ;)

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2007
I had a bit of trouble with this. I added some broth to the bottom, but the aluminum foil balls collapsed and I ended up with a boiled chicken. Tasty, but not what I was hoping for.

Sweet Potatoes for Two

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2007
Amazing! I took the advice of other reviewers and baked them, that little bit of crispness keeps them from falling apart until they get in your mouth ;) Made them for Thanksgiving and was getting compliments on them hours after dinner! FYI this recipe calls for about 1lb of sweet potatoes, adjust accordingly!

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2007
Best banana bread ever. From the slightly crunchy, slightly sweet crust to the moist, heavy interior... Eat it warm slathered in butter for a little slice of heaven.

Broccoli Beef I

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2007
Good enough to make again, but not stellar. I didn't have trouble with the sauce thickness as I used frozen broccoli (as in frozen into a solid block of ice). Also, next time I think I will marinate the meat in the sauce (minus the flour) for deeper flavor, and leave out the sugar.

Pizza Crust for the Bread Machine II

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2007
I added minced garlic and herbs, left out the lemon, and divided in half for pizza for 2. Love the fact that you can bake & freeze.

Ciabatta

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2007
While the bread was cooling, I had to sample the butt. Then I had to cut a slice for my husband. Then I had to have another slice... Long story short, I'm glad this recipe made 2 loaves!!

Chicken Julienne

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2007
A nice, easy, basic recipe. I chopped the leftover chicken and stuffed Peppy's Pita Bread (from this site) with the chicken, sauce, and a bit of rice. Wrapped them in foil in the refrigerator, and heated them up at 350 for 15-20 minutes. My husband begged for the sandwiches for all three meals today!

So easy, and they came out perfect!! I took another reviewer's advice and wrapped each one in a damp paper towel. I'll be making these again!

Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2007
My batter came out super dry... I added 1/2 cup applesauce (what I had on hand to moisten it). They took forever to cook and came out chewy.

Greek Lemon Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2007
Yum! I took another reviewer's advice and sauteed the veggies and uncooked rice with some garlic. I used Better than Boullion, and put the whole amount called for in... SO RICH with that fresh lemon juice!

Honey Of An Oatmeal Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2007
This has become the staple bread in our house. The oats and honey make it more natural and healthy than breads with sugars, but it doesn't have much pizazz.
