Slow Cooker Stuffing
Great recipe with the guidance provided by other reviewers. 1) I only used half the butter; 2) I only used about 3 cups of broth, which I added 1/2 cup at a time over the course of the cooking time because I really did not want mushy stuffing; 3) I turned off the crockpot after about 4 hours -- definitely would have been overcooked at much more than that; 4) I left out the mushrooms because I did not have any; 5) I did use freshly made cubed dried bread (baked myself for 15 mins at 350); 6) I added all the spices to the pan of veggies and butter before putting with the bread in the crockpot. Everyone loved the stuffing! Thank you!

Paleo Banana Bread
After reading the reviews, I decided to try this recipe as muffins instead of a loaf and they turned out wonderfully! Here are the revisions I made: ~ Added 1/2 tsp of ground nutmeg ~ Increased the cinnamon to 1 1/2 tbsp ~ Used vanilla soy milk instead of water ~ Used vanilla extract instead of almond (didn't have any almond extract on hand) ~ Used a combo of agave and real maple syrup (1/8c each) ~ Added 3/4 cup of extra dark 65% cacao chocolate chips The muffins were super moist but firm and I WILL be making these again! Oh, and I used a muffin pan with light spray of oil instead of paper cups because paper cups tend to stick way too much. Thank you!

Slow Cooker Baked Beans
Not a bad recipe to play with. I followed other reviewers suggestions and had to increase the amount of liquid as 1 cup was not enough. I think I wound up adding another 1 or 1 1/2 cups of water before the cooking was complete. I did not have enough maple syrup on hand, so I used 1/4c maple, 1/3c honey, and almost 1/2c of homemade BBQ sauce that I had on hand. I also added about 1/3c molasses based on another reviewer's post. Lastly, we like our beans vegetarian so did not add any meat (ham hocks, etc). These turned out pretty good! Thank you!
