Broccoli and Tortellini Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2012
Great recipe and a little more elegant than traditional pasta salad. I've made it twice--once for a baby shower and another time for a jewelry party. I also added crasins instead of raisins and omitted the onion. The boxed/bagged tortellini is just as good as the fresh version.

White Peach Sangria

Reviewed: May 30, 2011
This is an easy and delicious recipe. I omitted the grapes, used nectarines instead of peaches, replaced the vodka with peach Schnapps, doubled the recipe, and added 1 liter of ginger ale. Perfection...not a drop left.

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2011
This was fantastic! I omitted the olive oil from the mixture and brushed the sliced baguettes with olive oil prior to broiling as recommended by another reviewer. As suggested, I also added a little oregano. I prepped the mixture and let it marinade for two hours which I think enhanced the flavor. This will be my go-to app for all future parties.

Chocolate Mint Cookies I

Easy and delicious, will put in my recipe box for years to come. Followed recipe as is, but substituted Ghirardelli mint squares quartered when I couldn't find Andes mints.

Pumpkin Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2010
My husband made these this morning, and they were awesome! He did not use the vinegar, and he substituted the cinnamon, ginger, and all spice for a teaspoon and a half of pumpkin pie seasoning. Since we always have a house full of guests who stay the night before Thanksgiving, we've decided to serve the pumpkin pancakes for breakfast Thanksgiving day.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2010
This is the best zucchini bread ever! For more flavor, consider substituting 1/4 c. of the white sugar for brown sugar.

Champagne Punch III

Reviewed: May 30, 2010
I just made this for a Memorial Day BBQ. The punch is slightly tart but overall very good. I made the punch as is, but I did freeze about 5 cups of Sprite in a plastic container and then added it to the chilled punch to keep it cold during the party. I plan to make this again for a baby shower. By the way, using a cheaper champagne is okay, the other flavors create a nice balance.

Green Grog

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2007
I made this for my Halloween party and it was an absolute hit! In fact, no one touch the wine and the punch needed to be refilled an hour into the party. I did not use the sherbet for fear of the messy foam as one reviewer mentioned! I may use it this summer; it reminds me of a twisted lemonade.

Sangria! Sangria!

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2007
I made this sangria for a fiesta party and within 30 minutes it was nearly gone (and I even doubled the recipe!) It was a hit and I'll make it again! I used peach scnapps and rum rather than brandy and triple sec. I also used a liter of ginger ale and fresh peach slices just moments before serving. Fantastico!!
