Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2011
I adore this recipe. I've been using it for several months now to make our loaves of bread. After 3.5 years of trying to find the perfect bread recipe, this was it. It tastes a lot like store bought bread, but it's healthier and cheaper! For my son, who is on a casein-free diet, I do sub the cows milk for almond milk and I use coconut oil instead of butter. I also use unbleached white flour in place of the all-purpose and sometimes, when I'm feeling some health convictions, I'll swap out half the white flour for wheat. I should do it more often, but I am just not a fan of whole wheat. :o This recipe has been perfect for my family! Thank you for posting it!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2009
Holy cow! So good! All of my kids loved it and so did my husband and myself. I made 40 servings instead of 8 and froze the rest of it for meals later and I'm so glad I did! It's so flexible, too. I didn't measure the ham, potatoes, celery, or onion. I just chopped up what I had and threw it in the pot. Excellent!

This was okay. I felt like it was a little bland, so next time I will have to make some alterations.

Best Ever Popcorn Balls

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
Mmmm... Soooo good! I finished making them about 20 minutes ago and I've already eaten 4!! My kids really enjoyed watching me make them.. and eating them too! I added some vanilla, seperated my popcorn into 3 batches, reheating my sugar mixture each time and I formed the balls in a muffin tin. They were so easy! I highly recommend!

Hamburger Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2009
I thought this was really good, cheap, and easy, but I would cut down the onion soup mix to one packet. The taste of onion really takes over, and I feel like the onion flavor should be more subtle. Other than that it was great. Also, it serves more than 4, which is always a relief when you've got a large family!

Old Fashioned Onion Rings

Reviewed: May 25, 2009
These were very, very good. I didn't have any seasoned bread crumbs so I used some shake and bake instead. I'm sure they didn't have that "authentic flavor" everyone else posted about, but they were still really yummy! Next time I'll make sure I have the bread crumbs AND I'll make 2 batches! I tried making these with the giant freezer bag method like other reviewers, but it didn't work well for me. The rings just didn't get as coated as I would've liked. Next time I'll use the method listed in the recipe.

Marshmallow Fondant

Reviewed: May 14, 2009
Hallelujah, it worked! This is the 3rd marshmallow fondant recipe I've tried in 3 days. Both of the others were huge flops. I'm making a cake for my parent's anniversary party and was desperate to find a good recipe for the fondant and this was it. It's PERFECT! Thank you!

Bev's Chocolate Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2008
Well, my husband, who is a chocolate fanatic, actually said this had too much chocolate! It's the first time I've ever heard him say that. It's also too sweet for me, a sugar fanatic! So use caution.

Cinnamon Sweet Potato Chips

They ARE a little hard to slice just right, maybe if I had a mandolin or something, but the flavor was great and what a healthy choice! I'm trying to get my 21 month old to eat more veggies and this was a great way. He had no clue!!

Melt In Your Mouth Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2007
So good! I did as others suggested: double baking soda, cut oil to 1 cup, and a few sprinkles of nutmeg (next time I'll add a bit more)then I baked them in those Reynolds fun shapes for 15 minutes, wrapped them up, and put them with my Christmas baskets. Yum-my!
