Fast and Friendly Meatballs

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2007
These were a very good base recipe. I only had 99% fat free turkey, but I added cheese and a touch of olive oil and they were very moist. I also added garlic, salt, pepper, oregeno, basil & minced onion. My 2 and 1 year gobbled them up.

K-Dub's Raspberry Lemonade

Reviewed: May 9, 2010
We really liked this, although for my personal tastes the ratio was a bit off. I liked it better with 1 oz. vodka, to about 1 C. to 1.5 C. lemonade. My husband is diabetic, so we made with sugar free lemonade and it was great.

Spicy Barbecued Peanuts

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2009
These are very good. I was looking for something a little more spicy though and these were on the sweeter side. I think to get a little more kick next time I'll reduce the sugar and/or increase spices. Thanks for the recipe!

Prosciutto-Wrapped Chicken Breasts with Herbed Goat Cheese

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2011
We thought this was delicious. I did find it a little salty though, so next time will increase the dates to off set the salt and maybe reduce the added salt as well.

Artichokes

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2009
Our favorite local Italian restaurant makes the best artichokes and these ended up very similar to them. I stuffed with minced garlic, butter, some olive oil and Parmesan cheese. After they were done, I added more Parmesan, bread crumbs and a little salt and pepper. They were great! Thanks for the recipe.

Almond Strawberry Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2008
We loved this. I used pecans and threw it together in five minutes and it was a light and flavorful addition to our meal. Try it with Bessy's Zesty Grilled Chicken from this site (we like it better baked). Yummy!

Cinnamon Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2009
These were very good. The cinnamon and coffee are subtle, but added a nice twist. I substituted chocolate chips in place of the nuts.

Vegetarian Chickpea Sandwich Filling

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2012
We really liked this. It was easy and tasty. I only used about 1/4 of an onion and still felt it was too oniony. I also added about 3 extra tablespoons of mayo to make it more like a spread and added a little hot pepper sauce.

Cream Filled Cupcakes

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2011
Based on the reviews, and the fact I had some on hand, I used a boxed cake mix, so this review doesn't reflect the cake recipe. I really liked the idea and they did taste pretty good, but I wasn't really impressed with the end product. The filling left a strange, oily coating in our mouth after we ate them.

Donut Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2010
Yum! We loved these. I cut the nutmeg to 1/2 tsp. for personal taste and just threw the sugar/cinnamon mix and warm muffins into a ziploc and shook and they turned out coated perfectly. Thanks for the recipe!

Cinnamon Graham Crunchy Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2009
We thought these were really good, but would have liked a little more cinnamon flavor. Next time, I think I'll add some cinnamon to kick up that flavor in the mix.

Pumpkin Pancakes

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2009
We really liked these. The first time I made them some turned out mushy, especially at the end when the pan was really heated up. I made them again, smaller and at a lower temperature and they turned out great. Also, I added more pumpkin and cinnamon just for personal taste. They also freeze well and when heated up in the oven I think taste even better than the first time.

Deconstructed Chicken Kiev

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2013
I thought this was delicious. The breadcrumb mixture was a little off putting because when I blended everything together is turned green. I might blend all and then just mix parsley in next time. I loved the crisp taste of the lemon and tomatoes against the richer taste of the chicken.

Peaches 'N Cream Pie

Reviewed: May 22, 2011
I was skeptical when making this. My crust dough was thick and sticky, so there was no way I could pour it into the pie plate so I had to pat it in with greased fingers and just overall, I wasn't sure it would turn out to be a good combination. But, it turned out great! My husband in particular loved it, so a 5 from him and a 4 from me.

Snickerdoodles III

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2010
We love these. I really like that the amount of butter is less than other snickerdoodle recipes. I would suggest flattening them a bit before baking, but other than that these are some of the best I've had.

Southern Fried Cabbage

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2010
I had never tried this, but was doing a Southern cooking night and wanted to try something new. We really enjoyed this! I didn't use any veg. oil and I still thought it was a little greasy, but the mix of flavors was great! I added some garlic, as well as onion powder and paprika. Thanks for the recipe!

I took these to a party and they were deemed the best chicken wings ever. :) I dried them before dredging them and used two teaspoons cayenne and they turned out great!

Fudge Puddles

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
These are very good! The trick I found to getting the chocolate in easily is to pour it into a condiment bottle and then squirt it into the cookies. It made it go quickly and neatly! I also tried these with chocolate chip cookie dough and they were yummy too.

Bessy's Zesty Grilled Garlic-Herb Chicken

Reviewed: May 13, 2008
This is delicious. I only use half the oil and sugar called for and never use the saffron, and it turns out great. I've grilled it, but on a rainy day, I decided to bake it and we enjoyed it even better. About 25 minutes at 400 and it was tender and tasty.

Orange Citrus Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2008
Very good! I didn't have rice wine vinegar, so used red wine vinegar instead, so I'm not sure how much of an impact that had. I did think it was a bit tangy, so added more honey to taste. Thanks!
