Vegetarian Link Gravy

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2007
Very good! I had never tried a vegetarian gravy before and this was really tasty on biscuits. Thanks for sharing!

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2007
Delicious! I'm not sure why you'd need to cook the chicken first. Just throw it in raw or frozen and it comes out perfectly.

Fast and Friendly Meatballs

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2007
These were a very good base recipe. I only had 99% fat free turkey, but I added cheese and a touch of olive oil and they were very moist. I also added garlic, salt, pepper, oregeno, basil & minced onion. My 2 and 1 year gobbled them up.

Barbeque Pork Two Ways

Reviewed: May 11, 2007
Yummy! I use pork tenderloin which really cuts down on the fat and it comes out so tender and delicious. I also substitute BBQ sauce for half of the ketchup called for and didn't use the brown sugar since we like it spicer versus sweeter. Thanks for sharing!

These were tasty and a nice change for breakfast. I used Morningstar vegetarian sausage patties and added cheese. Thanks for the recipe!

Cinnamon-Honey Grapefruit

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2007
We had these years ago at a bed and breakfast and loved them. I had forgotten about them until I found this. We used honey, cinnamon and brown sugar and they were great!

Caramel Apple Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2007
I think this recipe has great potential, but I would recommend reading the reviews before you make it. I would have just braised the pork chops for a few minutes and then made the sauce, poured everything over the pork chops and bake them as others recommended. As written, my pork chops ended up very dry and as everyone else has noted too, you really need more sauce. I'll try again though since I think they could be really good.

Orange Citrus Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2008
Very good! I didn't have rice wine vinegar, so used red wine vinegar instead, so I'm not sure how much of an impact that had. I did think it was a bit tangy, so added more honey to taste. Thanks!

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2008
Delish! I made this with a one and three year old underfoot and it was easy and great tasting. I added cornstarch/water mixture to thicken it up some, but after I did realized it probably didn't need it as the sauce ended up a little too thick. Thanks for the recipe!

Bessy's Zesty Grilled Garlic-Herb Chicken

Reviewed: May 13, 2008
This is delicious. I only use half the oil and sugar called for and never use the saffron, and it turns out great. I've grilled it, but on a rainy day, I decided to bake it and we enjoyed it even better. About 25 minutes at 400 and it was tender and tasty.

Almond Strawberry Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2008
We loved this. I used pecans and threw it together in five minutes and it was a light and flavorful addition to our meal. Try it with Bessy's Zesty Grilled Chicken from this site (we like it better baked). Yummy!

Pumpkin Pancakes

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2009
We really liked these. The first time I made them some turned out mushy, especially at the end when the pan was really heated up. I made them again, smaller and at a lower temperature and they turned out great. Also, I added more pumpkin and cinnamon just for personal taste. They also freeze well and when heated up in the oven I think taste even better than the first time.

Artichokes

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2009
Our favorite local Italian restaurant makes the best artichokes and these ended up very similar to them. I stuffed with minced garlic, butter, some olive oil and Parmesan cheese. After they were done, I added more Parmesan, bread crumbs and a little salt and pepper. They were great! Thanks for the recipe.

Cinnamon Graham Crunchy Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2009
We thought these were really good, but would have liked a little more cinnamon flavor. Next time, I think I'll add some cinnamon to kick up that flavor in the mix.

Cinnamon Brownies

These were very good. The cinnamon and coffee are subtle, but added a nice twist. I substituted chocolate chips in place of the nuts.

Fudge Puddles

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
These are very good! The trick I found to getting the chocolate in easily is to pour it into a condiment bottle and then squirt it into the cookies. It made it go quickly and neatly! I also tried these with chocolate chip cookie dough and they were yummy too.

Spicy Barbecued Peanuts

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2009
These are very good. I was looking for something a little more spicy though and these were on the sweeter side. I think to get a little more kick next time I'll reduce the sugar and/or increase spices. Thanks for the recipe!

I took these to a party and they were deemed the best chicken wings ever. :) I dried them before dredging them and used two teaspoons cayenne and they turned out great!

Mayonnaise Biscuits

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2010
I needed something to go with soup tonight and although skeptical about how they'd turn out with only three ingredients, we loved these! I used skim milk and reduced fat mayo and they turned out great.

Southern Fried Cabbage

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2010
I had never tried this, but was doing a Southern cooking night and wanted to try something new. We really enjoyed this! I didn't use any veg. oil and I still thought it was a little greasy, but the mix of flavors was great! I added some garlic, as well as onion powder and paprika. Thanks for the recipe!
