Jamie's Minestrone

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2013
Delicious! Added a little hot sauce at the end to give it a little kick. Even better the next day.

Deconstructed Chicken Kiev

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2013
I thought this was delicious. The breadcrumb mixture was a little off putting because when I blended everything together is turned green. I might blend all and then just mix parsley in next time. I loved the crisp taste of the lemon and tomatoes against the richer taste of the chicken.

Tomato Zucchini Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2012
This was very good! I used half cheddar and half mozzarella and fresh basil.

Vegetarian Chickpea Sandwich Filling

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2012
We really liked this. It was easy and tasty. I only used about 1/4 of an onion and still felt it was too oniony. I also added about 3 extra tablespoons of mayo to make it more like a spread and added a little hot pepper sauce.

Cream Filled Cupcakes

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2011
Based on the reviews, and the fact I had some on hand, I used a boxed cake mix, so this review doesn't reflect the cake recipe. I really liked the idea and they did taste pretty good, but I wasn't really impressed with the end product. The filling left a strange, oily coating in our mouth after we ate them.

Chicken Tikka Masala

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2011
This was delicious, but you definitely have to adjust the spices and salt to taste. I used one teaspoon of salt each for the marinade and sauce and that was just right for us. I also used half of a jalapeno, seeded and adjusted the cayenne pepper down so my kids would eat it. It had a nice touch of heat and great flavor.

Peaches 'N Cream Pie

Reviewed: May 22, 2011
I was skeptical when making this. My crust dough was thick and sticky, so there was no way I could pour it into the pie plate so I had to pat it in with greased fingers and just overall, I wasn't sure it would turn out to be a good combination. But, it turned out great! My husband in particular loved it, so a 5 from him and a 4 from me.

Prosciutto-Wrapped Chicken Breasts with Herbed Goat Cheese

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2011
We thought this was delicious. I did find it a little salty though, so next time will increase the dates to off set the salt and maybe reduce the added salt as well.

Black Bean Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2011
I thought this soup was ok. The amount of broth called for seemed really excessive. I used half the amount and it was plenty soupy. Maybe it's personal preference, but I didn't care for the carrots in it - maybe a green or yellow pepper would accompany the flavors better.

Pumpkin Spice Cake with Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2010
We thought this was delicious. Very moist and great flavor. The cream cheese frosting was really soft for me, but I think storing the cupcakes in the fridge will help that.

Snickerdoodles III

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2010
We love these. I really like that the amount of butter is less than other snickerdoodle recipes. I would suggest flattening them a bit before baking, but other than that these are some of the best I've had.

Donut Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2010
Yum! We loved these. I cut the nutmeg to 1/2 tsp. for personal taste and just threw the sugar/cinnamon mix and warm muffins into a ziploc and shook and they turned out coated perfectly. Thanks for the recipe!

Quick and Easy Brownies

Reviewed: May 31, 2010
I found these to be too cake like and with a strong butter flavor. I added chocolate chips to get more chocolate flavor, but they still didn't have a very rich chocolate recipe.

K-Dub's Raspberry Lemonade

Reviewed: May 9, 2010
We really liked this, although for my personal tastes the ratio was a bit off. I liked it better with 1 oz. vodka, to about 1 C. to 1.5 C. lemonade. My husband is diabetic, so we made with sugar free lemonade and it was great.

Southern Fried Cabbage

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2010
I had never tried this, but was doing a Southern cooking night and wanted to try something new. We really enjoyed this! I didn't use any veg. oil and I still thought it was a little greasy, but the mix of flavors was great! I added some garlic, as well as onion powder and paprika. Thanks for the recipe!

Mayonnaise Biscuits

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2010
I needed something to go with soup tonight and although skeptical about how they'd turn out with only three ingredients, we loved these! I used skim milk and reduced fat mayo and they turned out great.

Baked Buffalo Wings

I took these to a party and they were deemed the best chicken wings ever. :) I dried them before dredging them and used two teaspoons cayenne and they turned out great!

Spicy Barbecued Peanuts

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2009
These are very good. I was looking for something a little more spicy though and these were on the sweeter side. I think to get a little more kick next time I'll reduce the sugar and/or increase spices. Thanks for the recipe!

Fudge Puddles

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
These are very good! The trick I found to getting the chocolate in easily is to pour it into a condiment bottle and then squirt it into the cookies. It made it go quickly and neatly! I also tried these with chocolate chip cookie dough and they were yummy too.

Cinnamon Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2009
These were very good. The cinnamon and coffee are subtle, but added a nice twist. I substituted chocolate chips in place of the nuts.
