Microwave Popcorn

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2014
I've been buying microwave popcorn for years (although I know it's got so many things that are unhealthy and that has always bothered me). My kids love popcorn but I don't like how it turns out when done in a pot because it doesn't stay dry enough. This worked great! I have a "popcorn" button on my microwave and always have to add another 30 seconds to the cook time to get all the the kernels to pop but it turns out perfect every time! Thank you for sharing. :)

Sopapilla Cheesecake Pie

Reviewed: May 8, 2011
I just made two of these in 9x13's for mother's day. The taste is phenomenal... anyone have trouble with the center not being done at 30 minutes? My sidess were cooked but the dough in the center was still raw and mushy. I have been cooking for 23 years and I don't know what I did wrong. Thanks for the awesome recipe

Blueberry Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2010
To die for on top of steel-cut oatmeal with toasted almonds and little brown sugar. Healthy dessert breakfast... so darn good. I tripled the recipe and gave it to a few friends. We all go to Jamba juice to get their steel-cut oatmeal with blueberries, but now, we can have it at home too!

Stef's Super Cheesy Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2009
This was really satisfying. I was looking for something a little richer than your standard toasted butter with parmesan cheese on top of bread. My family really enjoyed this with the angel hair pasta I made tonight .... they asked for more....

Candy Apple Jelly

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2009
I made this jelly because it sounded easy and very festive. I sold it at a friends boutique next to jars of green jalapeno pepper jelly and put out samples on top of cream cheese with wheat thins. They loved it. I love that it's so easy, the color is a clear bright red and it tastes great on toasted sourdough with butter! Yum!

Maple-Soy Glazed Salmon

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2008
I am a huge fan of Grilled Salmon, and have tried two previous maple-soy glazes. This one is the WINNER! It was just the right balance of salty and sweet. I cut the pepper down just a bit (I have small children) and I actually mixed up the glaze and cooked it on the stove in a saucepan and added a bit of cornstarch to thicken it up. I cooked the salmon on the grill without cedar planks but on foil and when it was 90% done, I brushed the glaze on reserving some for rice and veggies. (I doubled the glaze recipe). It was terrific. I had a maple soy glaze recipe from Bon Appetite that I had tried but this one is going to be replacing it. Thanks.

Cream Corn Like No Other

Reviewed: May 24, 2008
I have made this recipe before (I have a version of my own). It can't be beat as far as comfort food goes. It is rich and creamy and I have yet to serve this to anyone who didn't love love love it. I however take time to do one more step, mostly for presentation purposes. After it's done on the stove, I heat the oven to 350 degrees F. and spray a 9x13 pyrex dish with pam. I then pour the corn mixture into the pyrex dish and sprinkle it with shredded parmesean so that it can brown on top. It makes it pretty. I let it sit in the oven for about 25 minutes to brown. Great recipe thanks!!

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2008
I made this recipe but didn't have ranch dressing. I had a packet of ranch dip mix which I combined in a bowl with cream cheese and I used that instead of ranch dressing. It adhered to the chicken and was sooooooooo delish. My family loves it including my "non meat eating" 5 year old daughter. I have made these for friends on bunko night and everyone wanted the recipe. Friends have passed this recipe on to other friends like crazy. The ingredients sound so simple but the end result is taste heaven!

Chocolate Cookie Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2008
Easy to make with items in my pantry, not too sweet or rich but light and fluffy. I love it. My daughter requested it as frosting on her birthday cake!

Creme Brulee French Toast

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2008
I made this for family members Christmas morning and had no left overs. I've made several similar make-ahead french toast recipes, and this is by far the tastiest. I had to print out many copies of this recipe for family and friends. Great!

White Bean Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2007
This was very simple to make. I had all of the ingredients on hand and followed instructions exactly. It was delicious! Full of flavor. It was my first time cooking with cocoa powder in chili, and it was a sublte yet tasty addition. My husband doesn't like cinnamon in his foods so the cinnamon was too much for his liking, but I on the otherhand love it in chili and have used it before. Great Recipe. Thanks!

Microwave Oven Peanut Brittle

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2007
I've made peanut brittle from several recipes over the years.I was skeptical about this because it just seemed too easy. After making it this way, I will never do the candy thermometer again! This was so simple, little mess to clean and the brittle turned out perfectly. It wasn't "break your teeth" hard like some, and it was crunchy and delicious.

Foil-Pack Taco Chicken Dinner

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2007
I tried this recipe because I was in a hurry tonight and didn't want a bunch of cleanup. I wasn't expecting anything spectacular, just edible. Boy, was I surprised when I took a bite and loved this meal! My 4 year old who won't eat chicken devoured this and wanted seconds. I couldn't believe. It seems so simplistic that it wouldn't be that tasty but the combination of flavors is deeelish and the chicken was super moist. I used frozen chicken tenders (not thawed) wrapped them in the foil and threw them on the grill for an hour on indirect med/high heat. Perfect!

Orange, Walnut, Gorgonzola and Mixed Greens Salad with Fresh Citrus Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2007
My husband and I loved everything about this salad. The dressing was so good I almost drank the remainder from my salad bowl. (Just kidding) It was richly flavored, textured and the dressing was just the right amount of sweet/salty/citrus.
