Easy Sugar Cookies

Hands down the best sugary butter cookie! They are soft and tender. Will definitely make this a staple in my recipe box!

I'm convinced that this recipe won me 3rd place at my company's chili-cook off. I was too lazy to soak my cornmeal, but it came out moist and not the slightest bit crumbly anyway. Paired great with a chili recipe from this site (Chili I). I will be making this again!!!

Chili I

Absolutely delicious! Won 3rd place in my company's chili cook-off (which really means 1st since we usually award our clients)! Slight changes to suit my tastes, however. I dont like the texture of beans, so as filler i substituted hominy (mexican corn) instead. i also omitted the cayenne pepper because i ran out. the recipe is a little sweet (the way i like it), so to make it more savory, i also added 1 pound of smoked bacon, cooked, but not crisped. Pair it with sweet cornbread (there is a great recipe on this site that i used with this one) and you have a winner!

Baked Salmon with Coconut Crust

my first time cooking salmon was a hit! even my roommate ate this up-and she is not a fan of fish. i was a little unsure of the doneness of the fish, but even when i put it in for another 10 minutes, it was still juicy.

Wisconsin Bratwurst

delicious! i used arrogant ale and it was a semi-hit with my Wisconsin-native boyfriend only because i grilled them on a grill pan instead of a charcoal grill.

Peanut Butter Fruit Dip

i do not like the taste of yogurt, but have always wanted the benefits associated with it. this dip is PERFECT! slight tang, but peanut buttery. make sure you thaw the whipped topping. i didn't (i dont usually work with tubbed toppings), but it didnt effect the fluffiness too much.

No Bake Cookies V

Delicious! They came out with such a smooth and creamy consistancy, my roommate (who has never had a no-bake before) loved them. However, I cut down the sugar to 1 1/2 cups because all i had was sweetened cocoa. They still set beautifully in the fridge in 35 minutes. Will use again!
