Tabbouleh I

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2011
Excellent per recipe. I would not change anything. Just need it to rest in fridge for at least 1 or 2 hours and adjust seasoning per your taste.

Best Ever Brisket

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2011
This turned out to be really great. Came pretty close to what I get when I visit Texas. I cut the chili powder in half and did not use any seasoned salt (did not have any). Will definitely make again.

Mexican Rice II

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2008
This was great!!! I did use a can of diced tomatoes as opposed to the tomato paste. It was sooooo good, I made it again in a few days.

Honey Lime Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2008
This was OK, would not make again. The dressing was a bit too watery, so boiled off the liquid and concentrate was tastier.

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2008
this was great!!! I made it for superbowl. you can make any amount of wing sauce you like. Frying seems to be best way of cooking, I tried baking the wings, but stopped mid-way cause the coating was sticking to the dish.

Keema (Indian-Style Ground Meat)

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2007
This recipe is pretty basic and I have enjoyed it the few times I have made it. This recipe comes close to restaurant style keema.

Barlow's Blackened Catfish

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2007
This was great and very easy!!! All the pepper makes it pretty spicy, even with ground red pepper cut in half. Will definitely make again, but with lot less pepper.

This recipe was good, but I made some modifications. Used grilled chicken, green pepper and sugar snap peas with soba noodles.

Chicken Tikka Masala

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2007
This recipe was excellent!!! I made chicken tikka from a box and made the tikka masala from the last paragraph. I did not use jalapeno and salt according to taste. Heavy cream was very rich, so I will use light cream the next time. Great to make at home, but not as good as I have had in restaurants.

I made this and this came out pretty good - not great. Not very thick. I boiled as much as I can. Will not make again.

Authentic South Indian Biryani

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2007
I made this with ground kabob chicken meat which was too wet to stay together on the skewer. This recipe is really good and I will make it again. I did not use any cloves - wife dislikes the taste.

Yummy Curd Rice

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2007
This came our pretty good - not as good as my mother's. Next time, I will add more yogurt and let it sit out for a bit before using to get it more sour.

Indian Style Sheekh Kabab

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2007
I made with 2 separate batches, one with beef and other with chicken. Chicken was way too wet and did not hold together on the skewer. Used about a cup of breadcrumbs, which did not help either. Beef kebabs turned out well, but still required about 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs for it to hold together. I noticed someone using flour to hold together falafels, may use that next time. Will make again but cut down the amount of mint and increase coriander.
