About this Cook
I have 5 kids and am a full time college student in addition to holding down 2 jobs. I love to garden, cook read and crochet.
My favorite things to cook
Desserts! Yum!
My cooking triumphs
I made cream puffs for my husbands office party and no one would believe that he didn't get them from an expensive bakery!
My cooking tragedies
My first pot roast literally sent my husband to the hospital when it was so dry that he choked on it!

Easy Apple Crisp
I make this exactly as directed and it's always gone in minutes. I get requests for the recipe when I take it to luncheons and no one can believe how easy it is! It is sweet, though. If I make it for breakfast I cut the sugar, but we love it "full strength" for dessert. It's good as is but you can also add chopped pecans and craisins to the crumb mix for a delicious alternative and I'm sure oats would be good as well.

Homemade Refrigerator Pickles
I made this exactly as the recipe said and loved them. For variation I made the next batch with apple cier vinegar, less sugar and added dill and celery seed. Also a 5star from us!

Peanut Butter Bars I
I can't make these fast enough! Everyone loves them and they're so easy to make that even my kids can do it with little supervision... We love this recipe!
