Refried Beans Without the Refry

Easy Indian Style Okra

This is a wonderful alternative way to cook okra. As a Southern gal I was raised on fried okra but this is now my go to recipe for cooking okra. It's super quick and easy to prepare, too!

Graham Crackers

Great recipe. I used butter instead of shortening and doubled the milk because 1/4 cup was not nearly enough! This recipe works wonderfully using wiltons mini cookie cutters.

German Chocolate Cake III

This was a fantastic recipe. I typically only make the recipes that have high review counts but I am glad I changed my mind for this one. I used this recipe to make cookies for my banana pudding. The held up perfectly in the pudding and didn't get soggy like the store bought does. I am completely sold on this simple and quick recipe. Oh and I substituted amaretto for the vanilla which I believe is becoming my secret ingredient!

Red Velvet Cake IV

Overall the cake was very good. It was a little sweet and not chocolaty enough. I followed the recipe exactly except I made cupcakes (lots of them) and used cake flour instead of all purpose. I would definitely recommend this recipe but add more cocoa and reduce the sugar by 1/2 cup.
