Cabbage Fat-Burning Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2013
Who doesn't love tomato based soups? The only changes I made was to used fresh green beans (from my mom's garden), concentrated stock, a small amount of sugar, and some saurkraut (on another reviewer's advice). Yum! You can serve over linguine, too.

Thyme Green Beans with Almonds

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2013
This was awesome. Fresh green beans from my mother's garden. You have to use fresh thyme or it just isn't the same.

Stacey's Fabulous Broccoli Fritters

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2013
Just okay. I added some salt and some flour, too, because the cornmeal alone wasn't binding the way I wanted it to. I used frozen broccoli and thawed and strained it first. I served them with spicy ketchup.

Easy Avgolemono Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2013
This is nothing like the Greek soup I have had before, but it was quick and easy. I didn't even have to go to the store, already had every ingredient on hand.

Salmon Fillets with Creamy Dill

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2013
I do like mustard on fish (call me crazy). I used 1/4 c light sour cream, 1/4 lowfat plain yogurt, 1/4 mayo, and a little less than 1/4 mustard. Then, I cut all of the herbs in half, you could reduce the thyme even a bit more. All of this was on the advice of other reviewers. I did still have leftover sauce. I think I will toss some shrimp in the leftover sauce and bake, and serve over pasta.

Savory Swiss Chard with Portobellos

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2013
This was great! The mushrooms really make it. I would reduce the liquid a bit, though.

These were a big kid with all the kids at a recent BBQ. Not too difficult to make, I did skip the scarf, though.

Crab Salad III

I put less olives and only 3 radishes in the salad. Also, I used much more the 1 1/2 cooked pasta. Turned out well.

Tzatziki Sauce I

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2013
I add a finely chopped/seeded cucumber to this. A Greek told me it tastes very close to the tzatziki his mother makes, she uses mint instead of dill. Excellent recipe.

Bacon Mustard Pork Roast with Stuffed Mushroom Caps

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2013
I prepared the mushrooms first and then used the leftover filling to stuff the slits in the roast. That's the way to go.

Cranberry Salsa

Pretty tasty. Served with tortilla chips. Added 1 green onion and some cilantro, per other reviewers. Also, used St. Germaine, instead of the orange liquor. Would be delicious on hot, sliced turkey.

Jap Chae Korean Glass Noodles

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2012
Made this as a side dish to some broccoli stuffed chicken. Substituted green beans for the asparagus. Did not add the rest of the sesame oil, because the 1 teaspoon seemed to be enough. Also, used the rice cellophane noodles.

Sauteed Swiss Chard with Parmesan Cheese

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2012
Great recipe, when people say this is the best swiss chard recipe, they are telling the truth. I did not add the onion and used romano in place of parmesan. This is now my go to recipe for chard.

Grandma's Chicken Chardon

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2012
Delicious and easy (two of my favorite combinations). I did double the egg as suggested by another reviewer. I also used about 1/2 cup more bread crumbs. I would even consider doubling he mushrooms, because they cook down a lot and they are sooooo tasty.
