Naan

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2014
I've made this a few times and changed it up, so I know how I like it now- but it was a great starting point. Decreased sugar to just a teaspoon, use plain yogurt instead of milk, no egg, no butter, less flour (add as you go) and then brush with olive oil and sea salt before grilling. Perfect!

No Knead Beer Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2012
Easy to make, nice and moist product. I used a strong IPA and the flavour really comes out in the bread. Turned out beautiful as well.

Walnut Biscotti

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2011
Very nice flavour. I was skeptical about the anise, but since I had some on hand I decided to use it. Gave the dough a wonderful sweet scent, but was less noticeable in the baked cookie. Only problem I had was the dough was extremely dry and wouldn't come together, so I added a tiny bit of milk just so it'd combine. I live in a very dry climate so that might be why. I shaped into logs and baked as I would usually bake biscotti. Thanks for the recipe!

Peanut Butter and Bran Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2009
They seemed a bit bland at first, so I added some chocolate chips and it helped a lot. They were super greasy, but didn't spread out too much, they we quite pretty cookies. I used chunky peanut butter for crunch, but next time I might add something else for a kick... almond butter, perhaps. Everyone really liked these! Try them frozen, too.

Zucchini Herb Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2008
This was fantastic! I had a bunch of guys over and they scarfed it down, no meat no problem. I made a few changes like other reviews suggested, a lot more spice, about a cup of rice, added one cup grated carrot, used extra fresh garlic (no garlic salt), used walla walla onion instead of green and parsley instead of oregano because I didn't have any on hard. Also broiled after baking to get the cheesy top to bubble. Will for sure make again and again! Thanks!

Convenient Vegetarian Lasagna

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2007
I used zucchini instead of carrots and it was delicious! Everyone I made it for raves about it. Also used fresh broccoli and basil, don't know why anyone would say otherwise. And I made my own tomato sauce... great recipe!

Chococonut Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2007
Best cookies ever! I make them for everyone I know and I have yet to find someone who doesn't love them! Even people who say they hate coconut love them! Chewy and fluffy and chocolaty and just perfect! A great mix between a chocolate chip cookie and a macaroon. Thanks!

Russian Pancakes - Blini

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2007
Batter was way too thin! I added an extra 1/2 cup flour and 2 tbsp. vegetable oil to the mix and it was better...at least they cooked and weren't a sloppy milky mess!
