Chinese-Style Cheeseburgers

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2007
This recipe went over well. I didn't have onions on hand, so I used dried chopped onions instead. I didn't have cubed cheddar cheese, so I used shredded. I also added a Tbsp or so of garlic, and a tsp or so of chili powder with a tsp ketchup instead of the chili sauce. My husband raved about them and I will make them again. For me, I used ground Boca burger and though I wasn't able to form them into patties, I warmed them up in the microwave and ate them sloppy-joe style.

Garden Veggie Pizza Squares

My sister-in-law makes this for family gatherings and it is always a hit! As others have stated, make sure you only use half of the dressing mix and spread over cooled crust to ensure success. A winner!

Tangy Garlic Steak

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2007
I used Kraft Light Zesty Italian, accidently doubled the worsheshire sauce and purposely doubled the garlic, and it came out just fine! So I would say this is a forgiving recipe, since you can screw it up and it still comes out a hit. Will make again.

Kielbasa with Honey Mustard

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2007
I doubled this, used Healthy Choice sausage for me and kielbasa for my husband and kids. I cooked them one at a time. I didn't double the ginger ale, it seemed like it would have been too much... I went with curse10 's suggestion and sliced an onion and left it to turn into carmely-saucy yummyness, which I felt made this a keeper! I served it over rice and my kids gobbled it up.

Asparagus Lasagna

I went with IronChefMidwest's suggestions, and this turned out great. I think it even tasted better the following day. Will make again.

Always A Winner Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2007
I enjoyed this recipe, but only marinated for 5 hours, next time I will do overnight at least. I added some minced garlic because I am a garlic lover, and next time I will reduce the cinnamon (personal preference). Hubby and I ate it the first night, and I sliced up two more breasts the following day and used them in fajitas. YUM! I have 2 left, and will slice them up and make a salad for tomorrow. It has provided several meals with only some initial effort (only difficult because I had kids underfoot - next time I'll do it the night before while they are in bed). I will make this again, thanks for the recipe!

Awesome Egg Salad with a Kick

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2007
This was good... I personally liked the bacon as I like bacon and eggs, and will probably scale down the horseradish next time (personal preference). That is the part that gives it the kick! Next time I will also add some celery - that's part of the reason why I liked the bacon, for the crunch, so I think the celery would be a nice addition.

Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2007
This was my first try at deviled eggs and they are really good! I used 1/3 less salt, and I think I would reduce the salt even more... To add paprika, I sprinkled some in the palm of my hand and used my opposite finger to "flick" it on (I was getting too much sprinkling it from the spice jar). We will see how they go over tomorrow, but I think I will make these again.

Pesto Cheesy Chicken Rolls

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2007
This was pretty good. I made it and put it on top of linguine that I tossed in pesto with some parmesean cheese. The kids loved it! I will put an extras slice of cheese on top next time.

Country Pasta with Mozzarella

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2007
This went over really well with the family. I used chili powder instead of cayenne, and had to use dried parsley because I didn't have fresh on hand. I also had to use half mozzarella and half mild cheddar, but no one seemed to notice or care! It was still very good and I will make it again (maybe following the directions next time).

Black Bean Soft Tacos

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2007
I really enjoyed these - and was surprised that my husband and kids ate them, too! I used the Best Guacamole recipe from this site instead of the avocado, and it was fantastic. I will make this again.

Best Guacamole

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2007
Tried this today and it was wonderful! I went with the advice of others and left out the oil. I also added some salsa. It turned out great! We ate it with chips and in our Black Bean Soft Tacos (from this site) instead of just avocado. YUM!

Pork Tenderloin

This recipe went over well with my family. I went by the advice of others and made sure I used "real" Sherry and not cooking sherry. Was wonderful and will do it again.
