Happy Halloween Y'all! I don't know about anyone else, but October was CRAZY busy! And with Halloween the kick off to the holiday season...I fear it won't be any less crazy here! So, with that said, why not kick off the holiday season in style and throw a little shindig to celebrate… MORE

About this Cook
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love to get in the kitchen with my mom and my grandma :) I always learn something new from them and they taught me that cooking from scratch is a dying tradition that I need to keep going before it is lost. I also love to share my cooking space with my son! It's amazing how cooking can be so special and bring about a new bond!
My cooking triumphs
The day I got my Thanksgiving stuffing to taste like mom's- I nearly cried!!!
My cooking tragedies
Tragedies? What tragedies ;)

White Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Cupcakes
These were nice cupcakes! Loved the flavor combo of adding white chocolate chips! This recipe made a HUGE batch, so I did 12 cupcakes and then used the rest in a bread loaf pan. It was perfect! Great way to really spruce up a box mix!

Sloppy Joes II
I did a twist on this kid friendly comfort food and swapped the ground beef for Johnsonville mild italian ground sausage. This was such a hit with my family!! The guys went back for seconds and ate leftovers for lunch the next day! The sausage added another level of spice to the sloppy joes, which gave more dimension to the flavor. This is a great, quick meal that kids and adults will love!

Johnsonville Sausage Balls
This is such a great recipe that seems to be loved by all! I made a couple of changes- I just mixed the recipe ingredients with the raw sausage and baked a few minutes longer until cooked through. Also, I omitted the mushrooms for picky eaters. These have a perfect balance of spices and create such a tender on the inside, crispy on the outside appetizer! Prepare ahead and make a double batch...you won't regret it!
