Happy Halloween Y'all! I don't know about anyone else, but October was CRAZY busy! And with Halloween the kick off to the holiday season...I fear it won't be any less crazy here! So, with that said, why not kick off the holiday season in style and throw a little shindig to celebrate… MORE

About this Cook
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love to get in the kitchen with my mom and my grandma :) I always learn something new from them and they taught me that cooking from scratch is a dying tradition that I need to keep going before it is lost. I also love to share my cooking space with my son! It's amazing how cooking can be so special and bring about a new bond!
My cooking triumphs
The day I got my Thanksgiving stuffing to taste like mom's- I nearly cried!!!
My cooking tragedies
Tragedies? What tragedies ;)

Chicken or Turkey Pot Pie
This was so easy to put together, and everything you want in comforting meal! I made as written but put in individual servings and brushed the top crust with a light coating of a beaten egg. I will definitely keep this in the rotation for a quick weeknight meal!

Court's Creamy and Quick Burritos
We loved this! I subbed black beans for the refried beans (what I had in the pantry) and it was really good! I bet refried beans would be delicious as well! I've already made this recipe twice!

Crazy Good Stuffing and Baked Chops
This is pure comfort food! This gravy was amazing! I did like other reviewers suggested and browned the chops first and set aside, then added the mushrooms and onions. Hubby is already asking me to make this again! This is a keeper!
