Happy Halloween Y'all!

I don't know about anyone else, but October was CRAZY busy! And with Halloween the kick off to the holiday season...I fear it won't be any less crazy here!

So, with that said, why not kick off the holiday season in style and throw a little shindig to celebrate Halloween?!

At my house we did just that!

Start with one trip to the Pumpkin patch...

Look extra cute while you find the right one!

Carve said pumpkin!

Bake up a few goodies...

Ham and Cheese Crescent Roll -Ups

Crescent Dogs

Chocolate Scotcharoos

Caramel Corn Treat Bags

Tim, Daniel, and Jennifer.

 Add in some spooky characters....

Matt... a creepy old man.

And you have one recipe for quite a fun night!

There were about 12 of us total at my house and we had a blast sampling the treats I made.  Tim grilled up some Brats and we had some chips and dips too.  Of course there were libations involved! We chose to do some sampling of different flavored vodkas :) Marshmallow, Gummy, and (my personal fave) Glazed Donut graced our bar!  We had horror movies playing in the background and just had fun laughing and chatting!

How are you kicking off the holiday season?

LOVE the photo of the cute pumpkin picking! :) Grumpy has always wanted to try the gummy vodka, but I've been afraid to buy such a big bottle of it and this is the first time I've heard of glazed donut! Looks like a great time!

Sounds like a great time! I'm a fan of those flavored vodkas too! I can't believe how many flavors there are! I'll have to check out the glazed donut. The strangest I've seen so far is Smoked Salmon. -France

About Me
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love to get in the kitchen with my mom and my grandma :) I always learn something new from them and they taught me that cooking from scratch is a dying tradition that I need to keep going before it is lost. I also love to share my cooking space with my son! It's amazing how cooking can be so special and bring about a new bond!
My cooking triumphs
The day I got my Thanksgiving stuffing to taste like mom's- I nearly cried!!!
My cooking tragedies
Tragedies? What tragedies ;)
