About this Cook
This part always stumps me for something to write:) I'm a domestic engineer...stay at home mom really with 2 small kids and a busy husband. I love to cook & bake, and I enjoy trying new recipes.
My favorite things to cook
Comfort foods for sure are my favorite things to cook. A big ol batch of cabbage rolls with some perogies on the side, or a bowl of risotto on a cold day. I'm enjoying making my own bread lately.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Well since my kids are tiny it would have to be when my 3 1/2yr old 'helps' me with the baking. Last year she had a cold but was determined to help with the Christmas baking....I sent out boxes of kleenex with the cookies just in case!!

Deep Dish Potato and Pumpkin Pie
I didn't have pumpkin on hand so used a butternut squash instead, the flavour was fantastic but next time would peel and cube the squash instead of roasting it in the skin. Also I'd add a couple of sweet potato's. I didn't add the cheese and found it made a fantastic side dish, the kids ate it up so no complaints there!
