Breakfast Loaf

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2010
This was nice. The sour dough breads I got were a little on the small side so I made several different types to suit the tastes of my family. We had a ham/turkey, chicken/pesto, salsa/chorizo. Everybody loved it! The bread gets very crunchy on the outside.

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2010
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this recipe! The only changes that I make are to increase it slightly to fit my spring form pan better. I make a crust from 1 inside pack of cinnamon gram crackers, 1/3rd cup sugar and 6 tbsp of butter. It is a really thick crust and tastes wonderful! I add in my homemade caramel sauce and whipped cream and it is irresistable!

Cake Balls

These were just ok. I wish the insides were more solid than they were. They turned out nice and the guests liked them but I wasn't crazy about them.

Chinese Chicken Fried Rice II

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2010
Very good. I use Quinoa instead of Rice. I prepare according to the package and chill the cooked quinoa in the fridge over night. I also add peas, carrots, baby corns and sprouts. You can really add anything to this recipe, it all tastes great.

Caramelized Baked Chicken

The great thing about this recipe is.. if you add in some garlic, ginger and red pepper flakes, you now have General Tsu sauce! You can do so many things with this recipe!

Ranch Burgers

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2010
These are our new burgers of choice. When we make home burgers, we always make a variation of Ranch Burgers. Here is what we like: Ground Turkey instead of beef, Bread crumbs instead of crackers, Eggs to help them hold together and some worsteshire sauce to taste. These make the moistest turkey burger you won't believe that they are turkey.

Basil Chicken over Angel Hair

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2010
Very nice recipe. Takes a lot of time the first time you make it, if you make it according to recipe. The second time I made this, I used canned diced tomatoes that were garlic/basil seasoned. I prefer whole wheat pasta, which my family does not. But when you make whole wheat angel hair you really can't tell the difference between wheat and regular. If you are looking for a way to sneak in some whole grains try the whole wheat angel hair.

Koula's Best Ever Chicken Gyros

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2010
These were delish! Made according to the recipe and they were awesome. Instead of grilling the chicken on the grill outside I used a grill pan on the stove. Very nice flavor. I also grilled the onions to add a little sweetness to them.

Corn, Sweet Onion, and Tomato Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2010
The recipe as it is written is a bit too strong on the onion and cilantro. I made this again using half the onion, some chopped seedless cucumber and a quarter of the cilantro and it was wonderful! The cucumber adds a mild flavor to it that cuts the harshness of the onion and cilantro. Would make again with my modifications.

Fried Rice Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2010
This is an awesome recipe. I made some modifications for my taste. First I used Quinoa instead of Rice, I prefer the extra whole grain and protien. I used more carrots and peas, just added per my taste. I used Olive Oil instead of veg oil. I also used seasame seeds instead of sesame oil. I used oyster sauce per another posters suggestion. Also added some salt and pepper to taste. WOW Amazing and really easy to modify for your own taste and liking.

Health Nut Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2010
This tastes amazing. I healthed these up a bit more. Replaced the oil with apple sauce. Replaced the germs with nopalina and used both brown sugar and about 1/4th of a cup of white sugar. I also used the whole pint of blueberries instead of just a cup. This is a very moist recipe. However, please note that if you use nopalina and are not used to it, it may be a bit more fiber than your body is used to tollerating so eat with caution.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2010
This was an OK dish. The mixture is a bit strong for the tilapia flavor but my family did really like it. It would have been better with less butter and maybe some panko mixed in like another reviewer used.

Strawberry Cake I

Wonderful! Even though the strawberries were thawed, they were still whole; so I did beat the batter until it was well blended. The cupcakes and the loaf I made from the batter were very fluffy, moist and delicious even with out icing!

Grilled Chicken Salad with Seasonal Fruit

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2010
Very yummy salad. The onion should be half of a SMALL onion. I used half of a large onion and even though I thought it was a bit much I wanted to try the recipe as is. It was still delicious but by the end of the meal my eyes were burning!
