Beef Taco Skillet

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2009
I've been making this recipe for years. My family really enjoys it. It can easily be spiced up by adding a hotter salsa or you could add taco seasoning to the meat. I always add a chopped onion while browning my beef.

Oven Kalua Pork

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2009
This stuff is great! I even forgot to put the salt on it before baking and it was still great. I did sprinkle a little more liquid smoke on the meat when it was shredded right before serving. We all loved this... even my 2 and 5 year olds.

Pennsylvania Coal Region Barbecue

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2009
This is EXCELLENT!! Our family loved this. My 2 year old doesn't like bread but ate 3 huge spoonfuls. Next time I will double the recipe so I have leftovers. My husband ate his on a buns, but I ate mine on rice and let me tell you what, that is very, very good. It doesn't taste like sloppy joes at all. We really enjoyed this and I will be making it a lot in the future. The only change was adding 1 TBSP water to it because it seemed to thick.

Pumpkin Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2008
This is really good chili. I upped the seasoning a little after reading the reviews and instead of using plain diced tomatoes I used rotel tomatoes (that was all I had) and it turned out great. I have told a few people about the good pumpkin chili and they look at me like I am crazy, but it is really good and you can't taste the pumpkin.

Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2008
This recipe is great. My husband doesn't care that much for chicken and liked it so well he wanted to take it to work for his lunch the next day. I did have some trouble baking it. After about 45 minutes my glaze started to burn around the chicken in the pan. I am thinking maybe I should have used a smaller one. Then I cooked it the full hour and cut into it and it was RAW!!! I ended up having to take it out of the pan I was cooking it in because the glaze was so burned and putting it in another with a little water in the bottom. I also covered it so the glaze on the chicken wouldn't burn. We ended up having to eat it the next night because my kids were starving, but man it was good.

Cheeseburger Buns

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2008
I have this recipe in my taste of home cookbook and it is really good. They are very tasty, but do take a little extra time since you are making a homemade bun. Mine also didn't look as pretty as the picture, but they did taste exceptional! This also makes enought to feed an army. You may want to 1/2 the recipe. They reheat well. I also did half with cheese and half without because my husband is lactose intolerant and wanted his without cheese.

This is really good. I substituted the sugar for splenda and left out the salt, but it still tasted great. I also used turkey sausage as the meat. I served it over rice and I will definately make this again!
