Mashed Potato, Rutabaga, and Parsnip Casserole with Caramelized Onions

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2008
Made this for Christmas Day and it was a huge hit. Does take some time for chopping but well worth it. Everyone loved the taste - I may never make regualar mashed potatoes again.

Baked Onion Dip II

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2008
Some people liked it but I didn't think it had much taste - very bland. I would maybe try spicing it up again but add cayenne pepper to kick it up a notch.

Cheesy Potato and Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2008
This is great corn chowder. I added 2 cans creamed corn and topped with green onions. Loved the taste from the mild chiles. Tastes even better after sitting for a day. I would definately make this again.

Best Marinara Sauce Yet

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2008
Just made this and it tastes awesome straight out of the pan. I can't wait to put it on my meatballs. I will be making again. Much better than store bought sauce and so quick and easy to make. I would make again in a large batch and freeze some for later use.

Cinnamon-Roasted Almonds

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2008
Made these as part of a hostess gift for the Holidays. They were gone before everyone arrived. I presented them in amber colored martini glasses with a small ornament attached. Everyone was raving.

Cabbage Waldorf Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2009
This is a great recipe and completely surprised me. It has so much flavor - much more than you would expect with just mayo as the dressing. Everyone loved it and we didn't even add the apples. Can't wait to make it again.

Sweet Party Mix

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2009
This is so addicting. I always get asked for the recipe. I used chex or crispix with peanuts, raisins and M&M's. Better than any chex mix.

Guinness® Corned Beef

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2009
This is better than you can imagine. Made for my Irish Father-in-law, he was hesitant at first but then couldn't stop eating it. A nice change to traditional corned beef. Leftovers tasted great on a sandwich.

Not a favorite of anyone in my family. It does not look appealing which makes it a hard sell to kids.

Best cookie recipe ever. I usually make a double batch since it disappears so quickly. Everyone loves the recipe.

Jiffy Cinnamon Rolls

Good recipe. I thought the icing could have been thicker. Hubby and I liked, but kids prefer the store bought brand better. Definitely take out of the pan immediately. Would be great with nuts mixed in as well.

Barbeque Beef Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2011
Loved the flavor. Only used 1 lb. ground beef. Upped the bbq sauce to 2/3 c. Kids didn't like the onions so might leave out next time or cut back. Only used 2 boxes of corn muffin mix. Easy to make so we will add it to our list.

Aunt Jewel's Chicken Dressing Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2011
I thought this was dry and lacked in taste. Although my kids ate it up, it needed some extra taste. Maybe next time I'll try to add some vegetables.
