About this Cook
I am married with 5 children, 6 Grandchildren 3 Yorkies, 5 birds. I love to garden, remodel/decorating, and of course experminting in my kitchen. Only learned to bake 3 years ago and I love it. Beginner at Smoking, but having a good time learning.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook anything...I really have no favorite, I see a recipe and dive in. really enjoying learning how to use my smoker. Baking is an adventure for me, I just see a recipe and get out the mixer!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Well the holiday meals that I grew up on,I have passed on to my daughters, SOme things just cant be changed. I have tried to change Christmas dinners in the past, NO WAY. IT has to be the same as my gramma did,my mom did,,I do,,,and my daughters do. Has to be bread & sage stuffing, and the biggest Turkey you can get in the oven. Everyone gets the pie of their choice. My daughter ALWAYS MUST mash the potatoes. And lots of Martini&Rossi Asti
My cooking triumphs
I have had so many. I was determined to learn to bake at 50 and I am very good at it. So I guess that would be my biggest triump. Friends ask me to bake their christmas cookies for them, and they will pay me! SO I guess that would be my biggest triump, people are willing to BUY my treats.
My cooking tragedies
I made a lemon merinque pie that tasted like lemon bar-b-q chicken many years ago. I have never attempted one since. This christmas I am trying again.WIsh me luck!!

Raspberry Lemon Muffins
Great flavor, but a bit thick so I doubled the yogurt. I used fresh unfrozen raspberries,I think a little more lemon would also be better. They were really good and I will make again!!
