Fresh Yeast Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2008
it is the best tasting bread ever. i can't make it fast enough. even though it is for a large amount already it still isn't enough! i substitute the shortening with a 1/3 cup of canola oil. it just makes the whole process a little faster. it doesn't change the flavor or texture.

Rolled Fondant

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2008
i love this recipe. it is very easy to make. i don't add the glycerin and it turns out fine. i also use the corn syrup instead of glucose. i can't get to specialty stores so i have to sub those. it tastes good also. love it!!!!!!!!!

i started making these and i got a little worried about the amount of lemon topping it made. it seemed like very little. but that doesn't matter because it is so easy to make. it tastes very good!

Rolled Buttercream Fondant

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2008
this is a great recipe! used it alot. i have never used fondant before so i don't have a referance to compare to. i had problems with ripping every time, but pieces blended almost unnoticed. it seems as if something is missing. maybe some glycerine would help the greasyness. it tastes really good. and color blends in well. thanks for the recipe!!!

Cream Soup Base

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2008
i will never buy canned again! i ran out of milk and had to use a fourth of what was called for. it came out perfect. i cooked 1 rib of celery in the butter before adding anything else to cook it through so it wasn't crunchy and bring out the celery flavor fast. so good!!

they had great flavor but if your trying to go healthy you could use the exact spice mix for something else. that was perfect. easy to make though.

General Tsao's Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2008
this recipe is good. i stopped breading the chicken. i don't use as much cornstarch as stated for the sauce. like other members i used a lot less. the only thing that we started to change recently is we add about 1/4 cup tomato sauce to the sauce. i think that it tastes more like the local resturants that way.

Fry Bread Tacos II

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2008
this is an amazing recipe! it is very versitile. i was directed by another member to this recipe after a fruitless quest for taco bell chalupa bread. i was not disapointed! it is so easy! i used it last for a pizzaria style pizza crust. very tasty!
