Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2009
This was the best cake I've ever made. The only thing I changed was using less oil, about 2/3 cup. It turned out great! Everyone in my family wanted the recipe. After I tried this chocolate version I made a yellow cake version for my hubby's b-day. I just used yellow cake mix and vanilla pudding! I can't wait to try other flavor combinations. From now on when I make a box cake I will use this recipe!!!

Easy Marinated Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2008
This was the first pork tenderloin that I've made. Surprisingly it was very flavorful and moist. My husband and son both LOVED it and can't wait for me to make it again!

Alaska Salmon Bake with Pecan Crunch Coating

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
This was my first attempt at salmon and I was very pleased. We had guests over so I was a bit nervous to try out a new recipe but everyone LOVED it. It was very easy. We will make this again for sure!

Caramel Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2009
WOW!!! These are awesome. Made them and took to a Christmas party and they were a huge hit! Followed the advice of others. I doubled the oatmeal mixture, except the butter. I used 1 cup of butter. Did not need to add any extra chocolate, nuts or caramel. When I crumbled the top layer on I gently pressed it into the caramel layer as someone else suggested. I think this was a good idea so the bars held together. With these changes it fit in a 9 x 13 pan perfectly. Also lined the pan with foil which made it super easy to pull them out and cut once cooled completely. Very yummy & chewy. Can't wait to make again!

Green Salad with Cranberry Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
This salad was so good. I am a big fan of cranberries so I was eager to make this dressing. It was good and quite easy to make. The combination of the cranberry, bleu cheese and almonds was delish!

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
This was a great soup for a cold day. I followed other suggestions and put the chicken in whole and shredded it towards the end. It fell apart. Other than that I followed the recipe exacly and loved it. Especially with shredded cheese and sour cream on top!

Cake Mix Cookies IV

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2009
My mom used to make these cookies for us when we were kids and I had kind of forgotten about them. When I saw them on this website I thought I would try them with my 2 1/2yr. old. We used the rainbow chip cake mix and they turned out so yummy. Plus they are so easy to make he was able to help do most of it and was very proud of the cookies he made. A very good recipe to make with kids!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2009
Followed recipe exactly and it was great. My three year old and I had a blast making these into halloween cookies. The dough has to be chilled or it is too sticky to work with. Loved the texture, very soft. Loved that they aren't too sweet! Can't wait to make for Christmas!

Dried Cherries, Pecans and Rosemary Brie en Croute

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
We made this as an appetizer for our Christmas dinner. It was a huge hit! It was gone very quickly. The round brie cheese that I found was a bit smaller. Next time I will try to get it in the 13oz. size so there is more to go around. Also used cranberries instead of cherries just because it is a personal preference and it was great! Will make this again for sure.

Four Egg Yellow Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2008
I followed the directions exactly except did 50/50 butter and shortening and it turned out very dense and didn't have a great flavor. I ended up buying a boxed cake mix instead. What a bummer.
