Most days I'd rather be cooking for friends than anything else. The cooking, and the eating of course, make for the best social time to catch up with and enjoy good friends.
My favorite things to cook
Anything for a crowd; lots of appetizers that create good conversation and mingling amongst the guests
My favorite family cooking traditions
Big thanksgiving dinners here in Wisconsin with family and friends have been a favorite for over ten years.
My cooking triumphs
A delicious Passover Seder for 16 with a finger in a splint from a torn ligament. I love to adjust recipes on a whim, although my kids fret I'll never make the same thing twice then.
My cooking tragedies
Frying seems to turn into a mess for me most often--good thing it isn't all that good for you; Bakery requiring exact measuring is a challenge as well. I'm a pinch-of-this kind of cook.
