Mistakenly Zesty Pork Chops

I made this for dinner last night. I actually DO NOT like cocktail sauce so I was a little concerned putting it in the recipe, but assumed the other ingredients would overpower it so I wouldn't notice it. It turned out great, and my husband loved it too! I used less ketchup than the recipe called for because I ran out...I thought it was a bit on the sweet side (didn't notice any zest), and will probably use less brown sugar next time, but it was tasty!

Central American Tacos

These were pretty tasty! Per other reviews, I only used 3 small-ish potatoes and that was plenty! I also only used 2 avocados, not 3. But other than that it was good--and very different!

Spicy Basil Chicken

This was tasty! I omitted the onion, simply because I didn't have one. Instead of chopping mushrooms, I used 2 whole ones, since I don't like them, but still like the flavour and was sharing this dish with someone that does like mushrooms. I LOVED THIS RECIPE. Delicious!

The Easiest Blackened Chicken

This was really not very good. At first I was amazed, "yay! yummy easy recipe!" But after cooking it and eating it...first of all, it ended up being SUPER dry. And it did not blacken at all. I suppose it was ok, but if you are lookin' for something really tasty, you might not want to choose this.

Cajun Red Snapper

It was pretty good, but next time I might omit some [or all] of the black pepper, 'cause it was just too peppery. I could not taste most of the other spices [& I love spicy good!] because of the overarching pepper taste. Other than that, it was pretty good!

Lemon Garlic Tilapia

This was pretty good! I used halibut instead of tilapia, since it is what I had. You can definitely tell it is healthy, because when I followed the recipe exactly, it was not quite as flavourful as it could have been. I will probably make this again and use either fresh parsley, or more garlic, or both!

Awesome Korean Steak

I actually just re-read the recipe and I forgot to add the sugar! It was still one of the best things I have ever eaten, and I do not even normally like steak! I read some reviews saying it was disappointing and to only marinade 2-3hrs--not so!! The longer, the better.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

I LOVE THIS RECIPE. I 1st had it at a friend's house who made it and she gave me the recipe later on, and it turns out to be this same one. SO DELICIOUS! I did not have any celery salt, so I just used some normal salt, and it was just fine. Definitely makin' this again.

Oh, and one other thing...it turned out that I did not have any onion, so I chopped up 1 garlic clove and included that. I love garlic, so it added a nice zing.

Baked Honey Mustard Chicken

This recipe was only so-so. I made it for my mother and she was less of a fan of it than I was. First of all, cooking w/ honey isn't great, 'cause everything gets super sticky and gross. Second, it did not specify what kind of mustard and I think the mustard I had at home just did not fit the bill. We decided that the next time we make this recipe we are going to skip the honey and skip the mustard and just use the other herbs and ingredients!! =)

DELICIOUS!!!! I loved this recipe so much, I cannot contain myself. I did not use any onion-while cooking, I realized I did not have any! But it still tasted great. I also served w/ white rice.

Cuban Black Beans II

This was SO GOOD. I made this for some friends and it was a definite hit. I used 1/2 bell pepper and 1/2 onion instead of whole ones, and by accident I bought a 2oz. jar of pimentos instead of 4oz. and it still came out very flavourful. Not spicy and definitely a little sweet--very tasty! I definitely want to make them again. Oh, and it is good to use either salsa or sour cream as a garnish.

This was ok. I had higher hopes for it, so I was honestly somewhat disappointed. I forgot that the other reviews said to add more barbecue sauce, which I think it could have used more. I might make this again--still not sure.

A Jerky Chicken

THIS WAS AMAZING. It was, in fact, really spicy!! I turned the chicken w/ my fingers, since I didn't have any clean tongs, then licked my fingers and my mouth started burning! I loved it. I had to eat this w/ 2.5 glasses of water. [I served it w/ brown rice, also].I forgot to buy onion, so I didn't include that...I also had to make more sauce while the chicken was marinating in 3/4 of it, 'cause it didn't seem to make very much. But I would definitely make this again!

Salsa Chicken

I did a different variation of this recipe--I used Pepper Jack cheese instead of Cheddar cheese and I used hot taco sauce instead of salsa. It was very spicy & very delicious!
