Sausage Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2008
mmmmm these were delicious! i might add a little crushed red pepper next time to give it a little more spice. i used hot sausage & freshly grated 2% sharp cheddar cheese. after mixing those, i added the bisquick and it mixed really well together. i refridgerated it overnight and cooked them the next day! it definitely takes about 15-20 minutes to cook, especially if you like them a little brown on top like i do!

Pecan Pumpkin Dessert

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2008
WOW! This was awesome! I've never gotten so many compliments in my life! Even my grandma, the best cook in the world, said it was the best dish at our Thanksgiving dinner! I added a tablespoon of pumpkin pie spice to the pumpkin and only used half of the topping because it made a TON! I let the dessert cool in the pan for 3 hours then put it in the fridge overnight. This morning, I had no trouble inverting it! I lined the whole pan with wax paper, so it was very easy to tug on it while my boyfriend held it upside down. It did take about 15 minutes longer to cook than the recipe states, but you just have to keep an eye on it. After I iced it, I sprinkled a few chopped pecans on top just to make it pretty. I've already been asked to bring this for Christmas!!!

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2008
I doubled the recipe because I took it to my mom's for Thanksgiving. I used a 9x13 and an 8x8, spraying Pam on each so the dishes wouldn't be too hard to clean. I used ziti pasta and also added about 1/2 c. milk, a little garlic powder, extra parmesan cheese, and a few tablespoons of light butter, hoping this would make the recipe creamier. I lightly sprinkled breadcrumbs on top of both dishes. They were ready after about 35 minutes and I took a bite as soon as i took them out of the oven. It tasted great. However, by the time we ate the macaroni was dry as a bone! I had lids on them so they were still very warm, but it wasn't creamy at all! Unfortunately, only half of one of the dishes got eaten. Tomorrow we are going back for leftovers so I am going to try pouring more milk on top and popping it in the oven again. So as of right now, I will give 3 stars....if tomorrow goes any better, I will change it!
