I did as other reviewers suggested and added an extra cup of sugar and extra teaspoon of vanilla. The cookies are delicious! I made this recipe last Christmas too and can really tell the difference in taste. I think the cookies spread a bit more when baking because of it but it was a trade off I am happy with! I made the topping decoration with Marshmallow Fondant from this site. Yummy!
