About this Cook
I'm a full time working mom that loves to cook and eat! I enjoy all styles of cooking and really appreciate the magic of good food. I try to find quick and easy meals that are healthy and light. In my spare time I also enjoy spending time with my daughter, music, good movies, boating and scuba diving. I'm also learning to sew!
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake desserts, cook quick and easy meals, and am currently trying to master both Asian and Hispanic dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandmother and aunt are both masters of the kitchen! Growing up, I watched my grandmother make everything from scratch. I still have fond memories of sitting on the kitchen counter top watching my grandmother hand make Chinese dumplings- yum!
My cooking triumphs
Serving my first Thanksgiving Meal to my family!
My cooking tragedies
I have had too many to name, but I'm proud to say I learn and grow from each and every disaster!

Dol Sot Bi Bim Bap
This is a great, easy to make and non-time consuming recipe. I used only 1/4 cup of brown sugar, substituted the beef for ground turkey, zucchini for cucumbers, omitted spinach, used regular white long grain rice, and used Schiracha. I also added some Daikon. No stoneware needed. It was delicious! This is indeed a very flexible recipe!

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III
What a fantastic recipe! This was easy to make and tasted light, but rich. Do not be afraid of the thin consistency of the final batter! I was very scared at how thin it was (almost like water), but after baking it, I was SUPER happy with the final texture and taste! Highly recommended .

Cranberry Pistachio Biscotti
This is an excellent tasting, less fattening recipe. I sub the pistachios with roasted, lightly salted almonds and they are wonderful! Highly recommended.
