Apple Blue Cheese Salad

Reviewed: May 23, 2010
Everyone I've served this salad to asks for the recipe! It's addictive! I also used less dressing, maybe only 2/3 of what is called for.

Sweet and Spicy Green Beans

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2010
This was not what I expected. It's not that they were bad, but the soy sauce dominated everything. They were not sweet and spicy at all- mostly just salty.

Blue Cheese Crusted Filet Mignon with Port Wine Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2010
This was okay. I did not like the topping, but the sauce was okay. Overall, I will look for a better recipe next time I want to make filet mignon.

Chicken Tikka Masala

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2010
Would you like a little food with your salt?! That being said, I only used 1 tsp of salt in the marinade and 1 tsp in the sauce and it was perfect. I also couldn't bring myself to use a whole cup of cream, so I used 1/2 cup of cream and 1/2 cup of milk. Very very good, and just like what you'd get at an Indian restaurant!

Pineapple and Pistachio Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2010
Delicious, and ready in 5 minutes! I first had this when a friend brought it over to my Grandma's house, and we all called it "the green stuff" b/c we didn't know what it was! We still call it that, but I'm so glad I found the recipe so I can make it for myself at home.

Portuguese Pork with Red Peppers

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
This dish really surprised me. I didn't think something so simple could be so good! My husband usually does not like pork, but he loved this! He said it tasted like steak. Followed the recipe exactly.

This salad is greater than the sum of its parts. The flavors go together perfectly- this is one of my new favorite side dishes!

Kheer (Rice Pudding)

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2009
Outstanding! I think next time, I will add a little more rose water, as the rice pudding I get at Indian restaurants usually has a stronger rose flavor.

Very, very good! I use a little less garlic, and you can substitute broccoli also!

Grilled Stuffed Swordfish

Reviewed: May 2, 2009
This was completely inedible. I took one bite and spit it out (something I have never done!) I followed the directions exactly- the dish was WAY too salty and sour, and in combination with the fish flavor it was more than I could stomach.

Chicken Makhani (Indian Butter Chicken)

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2009
This is a 10-star recipe! Wonderful, multi-layered flavor. I even used fat-free yogurt and was concerned it would affect the taste, but you would have never known.

Burrito Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
Restaurant worthy with the addition of cumin and chili powder! I served it surrounded by lettuce and tomato with a dollop of sour cream on top and my husband LOVED it!

Spicy Peach-Glazed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2009
a unique new dish! i couldn't find chile paste, so i substituted diced fresh jalepeno (be careful- it only takes a small amount to kick up the spice!), and i loved it. probably best served with rice and steamed vegetables, something that won't clash with the unique flavor

Shrimp Durango

Very bland! I may try making again with triple the lime juice and double the cayenne pepper, but overall I was very disappointed with this recipe.

Good, but it could use a little more kick. Will probably add diced jalepeno or something of the like next time.
