Lucy's Quick Tonkatsu Sauce

I let this sit for only a half hour before using it and the Worcestershire sauce was mighty strong. The next day it had mellowed, but I'd probably reduce the WS to 2T or even less. Good sauce though! It got me out of a jam when I made Chicken Katsu then realized I had no sauce.

Barbecued Beef

Delicious! I used a 2.5 lb roast and kept the sauce measurements as written, except for the liquid smoke. Thought I had some but I didn't so I left it out. I cooked in on high for 4 hours, shredded the beef, then put it back in the slow cooker on low for a few more hours with the lid off. The sauce thickened up nicely. My teenage son, a picky eater, asked if we could have it regularly!

Best Ziti Ever

Chicken Marsala

Made this last night and the family loved it. I followed some reviewers' suggestions and added garlic to the pan and omitted the sherry. I just increased the Marsala to 3/4 c. I also sprinkled garlic salt on the chicken breasts before flouring and the flavor was great - not bland at all. I gave this recipe 4 stars because of the changes.

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

Served these for a Memorial Day bbq and everyone loved them. I marinated the chicken cubes for about 7 hrs. My low-sodium mom thought they were a little salty but I liked them just fine.

BBQ Miso Chicken

My family loved this dish. It was pretty salty, but I think it's either because I used regular soy sauce or that it marinated for 5 hours. I'll try it again, playing with the marinating time. A keeper.

Mom's Cucumber Salad

Actually Delicious Turkey Burgers

I took the suggestions of other reviewers and used 1/2c. bread crumbs, 1 whole egg, 2T soy sauce instead of salt, and 2tsp of Worcestershire sauce. We cooked them on the grill and the family gobbled them up. My husband ate 3 and said he liked them more than regular burgers. My kids both ate 2. I would have gone back for seconds but I was full. These were excellent! 4 stars because we altered the recipe.

Spicy Bean Salsa

Hamburger Vegetable Soup

This is a very good and hearty soup. I followed instructions exactly. Next time I will saute the onions with the ground beef to soften them up. The onions still had a bit of a crunch even after cooking for 1/2 hour.

Smoked Salmon and Egg Salad

I was disappointed in this recipe after the great reviews it got. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I would have rather had plain egg salad or a regular tuna sandwich. It tasted like an unsatisfying blend of the two. My husband liked it but he's very kind and will eat almost anything.

Raspberry Banana Bread

I took WILSKA50's advice and added nutmeg, cinnamon and baking powder. The bread came out deliciously moist and tender. I'm taking one loaf to a friend and the other will stay home -- but it's disappearing fast!

These were terrific! Followed the recipe as is, but there was so much juice that the sauce got watered down during cooking. I made extra sauce to spoon on afterward. So good!

Fresh Strawberry Upside Down Cake

My daughter loved this cake, but most of us adults thought it was too sweet. I used half the amount of Jello and served with Cool Whip. Next time I may use fewer marshmallows or omit them altogether.
