Beer Braised Irish Stew and Colcannon

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
Stew was easy to make and didn't have ton's of ingredients. I did have to season more than the recipe stated though. The colcannon was great! I had never put bacon in mine before. I also use leek in my colcannon. Thanks!

This was a hit at work, everyone liked it. It was easy to make! I halved the glaze and it was plenty enough.

Peach Kuchen

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2011
This was super easy to make! I took it to a work potluck and it disappeared fast! I like that it wasn't super sweet. Thanks for the great recipe.

Caramels I

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2011
Read other reviews and used white and brown sugar and only 1 c. Karo syrup. I sprinkled the top with coarse sea salt when finished. These got rave reviews! Thanks!!!

Three Berry Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2011
This was simple and easy! I used blackberries, blueberries and strawberries. I didn't use as much sugar as suggested, 1/4 C. Also squeezed in half a lemon. I upped the cornstarch to 1/4 C. Turned out great!!!! Thanks!

Beet and Yogurt Salad

Reviewed: May 29, 2011
Used fresh beets and cooked them with olive oil. Omitted the mustard seeds as I didn't have any and only used cumin, and a little salt and pepper.

Lemon Blueberry Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2011
I used two whole lemons and the zest, also added about 1/3 of a brick of cream cheese, because who doesn't love cream cheese? I omitted the glaze and walnuts. The bread turned out great. Light and lemony!

Annemarie's Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2011
These turned out great. I made a few changes as I didn't have lemon, only lime. I also doubled the filling because when I poured the first batch over the crust, it just wasn't enough. Had to bake it a little longer but it worked out good.

Badische Schupfnudeln (Potato Noodles)

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2011
I omitted the parsley and the nutmeg because when I was in Heidelburg and had this dish, it wasn't in it. Even though it was a little work, it was worth it. Browned them up and moved them into another pot with a little chopped onion and then added sauerkraut and sausage.

German Brotchen Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2011
Although these were time consuming, due to the three risings, they turned out good. I was able to get a nice crust on mine with a soft center. The texture is softer than the brotchen that I recall in Gemany, but they are still good. I was able to cut this recipe in half without any trouble. Thanks for sharing!

German Chocolate Cake III

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2010
This turned out great. I am glad that I read some reviews first and took the cakes out at 20 min. I didn't use the chocolate glaze, figured it was sweet enough! I wished they would have given a time on the frosting as I finally stopped cooking after 30 minutes and a phone call to my mom! So 30 minutes is more than enough.

Onion Roasted Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2010
These do not disappoint! I didn't add the whole soup mix seasoning, instead only added half and the result was great. Aso I didn't use as much oil as the recipe stated, only a couple of tablespoons to 3 potatoes. The potatoes have great flavor. This recipe is a keeper!!!

I browned the sausage, onions and apples added about 1/2 C. beer and cooked down. I put this on top of some mashed baby potatoes. It turned out really good.

Mini Pineapple Upside-Down Cakes

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2010
I altered this a bit as I only had fresh pineapple on hand. I chopped the pineapple into small bits and added it to the butter brown sugar mix. Then made as directed. These are so good! Very moist! Will make again.

Empanada Dough

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2010
I decreased the sugar to about a tbs. and ended up adding some more water to make the dough pliable. My empanadas turned out well. Make sure and roll your dough out well, so they aren't too thick. Thanks!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2010
The cheesecake turned out well, I gave it 4 stars as the texture was more coarse than I would have liked. Other than that, the flavor was good.

Jelly Bean Nests

These were good! I liked that they weren't super sweet. I hand molded them so that I could make them a little smaller and filled with whoppers and jelly beans! Thanks for the recipe.

These cookies were easy to prepare and fun to "build". I thought that they were sweet enough without any frosting, which I appreciated! Thanks for the great recipe, will make again!!
