Sexy Fish Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2013
Easy to make and super delicious. My husband is allergic to fish, so at the end I added 2 cans of clams with juice. It was a big hit. I also cooked this in my pressure cooker, after step 2 I cooked at high pressure for 5 min and it came out perfect. Added half and half (instead of the whipping cream, since that's what I had) and clams, and everyone loved it. Great recipe!

Cilantro Lime Quinoa

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2013
This is my family's favorite quinoa recipe, they ask for it at leas once a week. My tweaked version has 2 jalepenos, I've never added the corn or mango. I usually add in a bell pepper, whatever color I have in the fridge at the time. I make it in my pressure cooker: saute the onion, garlic, peppers, then add the quinoa and broth. 3 min on high pressure, 7 minutes natural release, and it's turned out perfect every time. YUMMY!

Cheddar Buttermilk Biscuits

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2011
I wanted to use these to go with a chicken stew I made (Kind of like a chicken & biscuits type dish) so I left out the cayenne and cheese. THEY WERE AWESOME! Perfectly flaky, tasty, and crispy on the edges. YUM We split them open, put them in the bottom of the bowl, and then dished the soup over top. It was a hit!

Simple Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2011
After making this many times, I've found the key to keeping the beef patty from falling apart. Don't put the soup IN the patty, just put all the soup in the sauce and it turns out fabulous!

Cranberry Upside-Down Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2010
This was awesome! I made it exactly according to the recipe and the whole family just devoured it. I was worried it would be too tart with the cranberries, but it was fabulous!

Golden Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2010
This was a good easy soup. The only changes I made was that I used about a cup of sharp cheddar instead of the american cheese and I added a couple cloves of garlic. It was a tasty, hearty soup. Yum.

For how quick and easy this recipe is, it sure tastes great! The only change I made was to add 1 clove of garlic to the onions.

Tangy Sirloin Strips

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2009
This recipe was awesome. The sauce was sooooo good. The only thing I did different was I didn't use any bacon because I didn't have any. It still turned out really good though.

Sweet Potato Casserole V

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2008
Mmmmmmmmmm!!!!! This recipe is sooooo good. I made it to go with our turkey dinner. I'm the only one in the family that will eat sweet potatoes, so I was thinking I was going to have the whole thing to myself. Well, that didn't work out so well, I was enjoying it so much, that everyone else had to try it, and the next thing I knew, all my supposed sweet potato haters had finished it all off! I only used 1/4 cup of brown sugar mixed with the potatoes, and used the full amount on top. They were so sweet, that I think next time I might even reduce it a little more. I also used whole milk instead of the egg nog. The top is so awesome, I wouldn't change a thing, and couple minutes under the broiler makes it oh so yummy!

This is the most requested desert in my house at the moment. These are awesome, so buttery and delicious: very dangerous to have in the house and have any self-control!

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2008
I'm not the biggest honey mustard fan, but I thought I'd give this a try, and I must say I'm impressed. I used drumsticks for the recipe, and grilled them on my gas grill for about 45 minutes. They turned out perfect: crispy on the outside, and juicy and delish on the inside. This recipe is definately a keeper. :)

Berry Oatmeal Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2008
The muffin is good, I'm not a fan of the topping. It made it too dry and was REALY messy for eating. Next time I'll just leave it off. Otherwise, yum.

Roll-Out Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2008
These are great! The dough is so easy to work with, and the flavor and consistency is fabulous. I made it with the lemon juice and the flavor was great. The frosting is also great to work with. I was a bit sceptical, but it was the perfect frosting for the cookie, and was also really easy to work with.

Red Slush Punch

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2008
Yummy, yum, yum. I had served this at my party last week, and it was a big hit. I also loved how easy it was to mix up a new batch as it ran out, with just having the slushy ziplock bags in the fridge to add to the bowl and pour the ginger ale over. I also liked how it made so much, but was really easy on the budged. It had a delicious flavor and tasted a lot fancier than what it was, and looked really nice too. This recipe is definately a keeper.

Chocolate Frosting III

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2008
Super easy and really tasty. The only issue I had was that I didn't have any baking chocolate, so I did the 6 TB cocoa powder and 2 TB of vegetable oil as suggested in one of the other reviews. I definately will NOT do that again. The oil kept separating from everything else, and left a really bad greasy shine on the cake. I ended up blotting the top with a paper towel! :( Next time I will just replace it with either extra butter or milk and I think it will turn out just fine.

Ziti Alfredo with Vegetables

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2008
This recipe was pretty good. We really like garlic, so I increased the garlic to 4 cloves. The sauce/noodle ratio seemed a bit off, I cooked about 12 oz, next time I'll do a whole 16oz box. Finally, next time I plan on adding about 1/4 tsp of crushed red pepper to add a little spice to it. Otherwise, it was very creamy and had a nice flavor to it, and was very quick and easy to make. I'll definately be making this one again in the near future.

Thai Cashew Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2008
yum, Yum, YUM!!!! This recipe was a total hit. I followed it exactly except for I was a little concerned about all the reviews about it being too salty (and I HATE salty food), so I used low-sodium soy sauce, and added the 3/4 cup of water to the marinade instead of waiting until the cooking part. It turned out great! I will definately be making this one again and again. The only thing I plan on doing differently the next time I make it is probably to double the marinade and add veggies.
