My yeast didn't bloom as much as it should have... so the pretzel dough didn't rise as much as was planned. I ended up with skinny pretzels. They were good though! The only real problem I had was that they turned a little too brown. That's not a problem with the recipe though... so TO ANYONE WITH SKINNY PRETZELS... COOK FOR 6 1/2 OR 7. THIS RECIPE IS AWESOME!!!!

Chunky Potato Soup

Easy to make! For mine I cooked up half a pound of breakfast sausage with the onions and I also made a batch of drop dumplings to go in it. Superb! Hint: For an even creamier texture, mash the potatoes a bit before you put in the gravy mixture! Fantastic and will use again!

Traditional Chicken Keleguin

I kinda did my own thing with this, but the basics are wonderful. It's really flavorful, tasty and easy. Don't be afraid to try this! (i would buy some dried coconut, or coconut milk, it's not authentic, but the real coconut was a huge hassle for me.) SUPERB!

Baked Ziti I

This ziti was all right. It came out well but I felt it lacked flavor. I used a name brand sauce and cooked garlic in with my onions and it still didn't have the flavor I had hoped for. A very good recipe, but in need of some tweaks. Also, it came out watery? Maybe I did something wrong, so that doesn't go against you. This was a good recipe. Thank you!

Pita Pizza

I used naan bread because it was on sale. Just as good really. I didn't grill mine either, I just threw it all in the toaster oven. It came out wonderfully. My boyfriend, who can't make macaroni and cheese by himself actually got up the next morning and made one of these for his breakfast. Talk about a life saver. Thanks for the great recipe!

Grandma's Gnocchi

Boyfriend enjoyed tons! This is a good basic potato dumpling recipe. I had to add a LOT more flour to mine and my dumplings came out too soft. I will add more flour next time. Put in different spices depending on your sauce. I used a pasta sauce, but I think a butter, or a cream sauce would be delicious!

Broccoli and Cauliflower Casserole

Followed the recipe exactly. Boyfriend didn't care for all the cheese, i loved it. Didn't cook the rice long enough so it was chewy. Also added mushrooms and cajun seasoning. The only reason this versatile recipe received 4 stars is because I don't think it had enough flavor. Will probably add rosemary to my next batch! All in all, a wonderful and easy recipe.

Flat Dumplings

I agree that the term 'flat' is misleading, perhaps 'drop noodles' would suit most. My Grandaddy calls them Sinkers. :) Anyhow, this is the same basic recipe I have used for years and was taught by my mother. Real old, real good!

Parmesan Cheese Straws

These sticks really came out bad... I had to mix them into the sauce to get them down and in a house of seven, that's a bad sign.

Herby Roasted Potato Wedges

I added a good pinch of dill to these potatos in addition to what the recipe calls for. I also liberally applied the spices. More more more flavor!

Best Ever Chocolate Chip Cookies I

I didn't have to tweak this recipe at all. My roommates loved them and have asked for more. This is a great cookie to have with a glass of milk. We ran through a gallon in a night!

Rub Noodle Potato Soup

This soup is amazingly simple for how great it tastes. I did tweak the formula a bit. I made a 4 serving pot of this soup and added about half a can of evaporated milk just after i put in the drop noodles. I also used more egg because the dough was too dry and added sage to the broth. Fab!
