Marshmallow Fondant

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2009
This was my first time ever making fondant and it turned out perfect. I did use liquid food coloring and found that the fondant did get a little sticky. I just added a little powdered sugar and it turned out great!

White Almond Wedding Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2009
Fantastic recipe!!! I made this exactly as written and it was perfect. Very moist and dense with great flavor. It tasted like a bakery cake and was really easy. It is great for tiered cakes it held up well as a bottom layer of a 2 tiered cake. I used white chocolate frosting and filled with raspberry jam, it was wonderful!

I added a 1/2 cup more oatmeal since I used natural peanut butter that was a little runny. I used dark cocoa powder and they turned out great!

Better-Than-Takeout Thai Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2010
I used dark soy sauce, which is thicker than regular and added a lot of garlic which, I think, really helped add much more flavor.

Raspberry Oat Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2010
Wonderful raspberry bars! I cut the recipe in half and baked them in an 8x8 pan. They came out great. I also added a little vanilla and almond extract to the butter mixture. I think next time I will add some chopped almonds.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2010
Really good chocolate cake. I was unsure of the full cup of oil and decided to use 1/2 oil and 1/2 applesauce, no one noticed at all. I will definately be using this as my go to chocolate cake recipe!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2010
This is a wonderful quick soup recipe. I changed some of the veggies to suit my kids tastes, replaced the celery with carrots and added a cup of peas. I didn't have chicken bouillon granules so I used one large chicken bouillon cube. I didn't want to add to much bouillon because I don't like things too salty, but it was perfect. Thanks for the recipe!

Brown Rice Turkey Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2010
This is one of my family's favorite soups! I leave the pepper out and use regular brown rice instead of instant. Just add the same amount of rice and broth according rice directions and simmer for about 40-50 minutes. I also add frozen peas about 10 minutes before it is done. Great recipe!

Chicken Mole

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2010
Great flavor, I agree the combination sounds odd to some but the flavor is wonderful. I did change a few things, I cooked the onion and garlic then added everthing else for the sauce except substituted the cloves for 1/2 tsp. chili powder. I then poured it over bonless skinless chicken breasts in my crock pot and let it cook on high for 3 hours. It turned out great.

Grandma's Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2010
This recipe did not turn out for me, I let the mixture boil for 8 minutes and it still did not set up. I had to throw the entire 9x13 pan of goo out.
